Start with the obvious, shut down completely, wait 5 mins, reboot.

    filmslayer:

    maybe a flash update ?

If it is, he had to have done it himself. Flash on Maxthon has to be updated manually.

You have to update the Flash player manually when using Maxthon

    Here's How:
    Update Flash Player first
Then go to My Computer, your hard drive
Under Windows find the file SysWOW64 click it
Find the file Macromed click it and the file Flash
Copy the latest file which is now NPSWF32 16.0.0.235.dll
Now you have to go into your program files and find the Maxthon program
Click on it, then click Core,
    then Webkit,
    then Npplugins
Paste the copied dll file and delete the old one

mnshiner's method worked for me, latest flash is now 16.0.0.287

If Macromed isn't in the SysWOW64 file just type it in search box that appears when you click start button, bottom left screen.

The better half came in 10 mins after me posting and made it right..

I was turning off that little pop up box talked about in the other thread and apparently put Maxthon to retro rather than ultra ? ( whatever that means )

Ballzed up a few other things too clicking on sh*t willy nilly !!!  LOL

Haven't updated the flash in well over a year I think, 14,0,0,125 version installed....if it ain't broke etc.....

^^ wouldn't know how to even after reading the steps ^^  :-0

Thanks for advice and will 'snip & save' the flash info for future ref.

    Andy ( clueless )

I've noticed in the past with any browser, that if you stop the new Flash updates coming in for a long period of time...  then the browser will eventually crack it....lol
