FWIW KM, I agree with most of the advice you have already received. Thinking back to my early days on WGT, the best advice I got was to NOT use starter balls since they basically negate any advantages you get from better clubs. I understand your not wanting to spend real money on here, so I am just going to suggest that when you do begin your upgrade, that you budget for balls (they do not have to be great, but you are going to need something that will give you a bit of control). Other than that, I will only say that I am a huge believer in the Cleveland wedges, which I waited to get until I
a) Qualified for the top level ones,and
b) Had saved up credits for them
