I guess I deserved that backlash for not putting more time and thought into my post. Let us try this approach because It is my belief that not all players are Forum Trolls.

Does the average player actually click on the Learn More link when it comes to tournaments? Or do they simply Signup and Play?

    Still...

The clue is in the Tourney name ??

( don't know if that might have been said already ? )

FFS   someone brew a pot o coffee !!

Or take that bottle from him  ;-))

I find it hard to believe that everyone clicks on the Learn More link for every single tournament they play. And that was the concern I was trying to express.

A lot go to the leaderboard which also has the description.  I would say a good amount of the players entering will see the description one way or the other.      - WGTdbloshoe

Re: I must admit, Kia Greens is getting close to the hardest to read

Yes they are Roger, use to be my favorite course being by the water and all. Now reading the greens with a surveyor's sextant take all the fun out of it...lol

We at Bridgestone have been discussing a possible issue that will need to be addressed moving forward with the CC Sponsored Events. Most players simply Sign Up and Play through the Game Client. I can only assume that the amount of players that actually look at the Tournament Page description is limited.

If a player is aware of the Tournament Page, I can see where the CC Sponsored Tournament Description could be used as a Recruiting Tool. However, if a player does not visit this page, how will they be able to tell the difference between a CC Sponsored Tournament and a Regular Sponsored Event (ie: Allianz)?

You do have a good point.  I start all comps from the GameClient

Only a day or two left in our Wgt CC sponsored Comp. If ya haven't entered yet, have a go. Just a normal Wgt comp in pretty easy conditions.  Well putting on Kia greens is not that easy....lol

Hope ya all liked my Gnome Tee markers...hehehehe, I wouldn't want to fall on em, ouch   and the Aussie flags, although in low winds, looked pretty good.

We've had about 6 cc requests and all accepted, hope they enjoy the stay in the club. It didn't really worry me how many new people came in, if any.  What gave me the most pleasure was getting the chance to tell everybody our club is out there.

Thanks Wgt and Thanks Shoe for the interaction with our messages.

Hope lots of other clubs take up the offer.

    -Roger

I had a fantastic time playing in this first ever CC Sponsored Event. This was the very first time I have been able to see the Custom Gnome Tee Markers up close and personal. Definitely brought a smile to my face. As for the Custom Flags, a very nice touch as well.

It was truly a pleasure taking part in this event. I actually had some fun for a change at Kiawah.

If you haven't already, please set aside some time and head out to this South East Skins Sponsored Event. Trust me on this, you can actually have a good time at Kiawah for a change with very reasonable conditions.

To all of those involved with putting this together at South East Skins CC... WELL DONE!!!

A very good showing in the first of these CC sponsored tournaments.  Congratulations to South East Skins CC,  for taking this new initiative on board and having some success with recruitment.

On Monday, the second of these tournaments starts,   this time is the turn of Bridgestone CC to take the spotlight.

    Enjoy the tournament guys
