  seems a 'copy and paste' syndrome on all these invite posts

  third browser i tried this am finally worked to let me play game...invites still jacked. still no update from WGT tho.

  I did all of the above, but even then it's very sporadic.  Sometimes second browser works, sometimes first one.  Flash is updated on all browsers and cache was cleaned 2 days ago.  Just FYI.  This game should work on all browsers....
  And on another issue - since we're talking about browsers - on internet explorer, even though I have tried all the fixes suggested in the forums, still it won't put a space in between words in the chat box.  So when I can invite with i.e., I then have to switch over to chrome so I can chat.  If that isn't frustrating!

  Bang on Dobbo.

  It's all about corporate greed and the bottom line

  I doubt WGT  would make serious effort to fix this irritating issue by throwing money at it,or experiencing mass exodus by customers, looks like cloudy and foggy for the near future.

  - When did you notice the invites stop working? A date and time would be great.

  - What game modes are you trying to invite players to? 

  - Are you never receiving an invite, is it only from certain players? Is it random, are you the only one not receiving it or is your friend/player not receiving it either?

  It Is apparent that you guys are struggling with the basic concept of debugging software.  Let me try and help you out a little, first you will need a decent analysis and a couple of programmers. Then follow these basic principles, commonly found in most 1st year students academic reading list , however, I will add them here to save you the embarrassment of explaining why , as I.T. professionals you would need them.

   

   It is true that the process of locating a defect and fixing it is first a search problem. I've seen many engineers go at it different ways - there are those that, based on hunches of likely culprits, make an educated guess at where the defect is, make a change, and re-test.
  
  For easier problems, tracing the failure back to the root cause systematically works great. However, they don't always present themselves to this method.
  
  For the more difficult problems I'm a big fan of the binary search. Divide the system or program in half and see on which side of the division does the evidence point to the existence that the program state is flawed. If it's flawed on both sides, you focus on what happened first, if it's only in the latter side, then you can eliminate one half of the potential solution space to focus on.

  Guess we need to start sending the error reports again .   Still not fixed, same crap.  I mean really how long do think this is going to take?  Is WGT making any effort at all on this or you guys just figuring the playing community will just adapt to this crap. THIS REALLY IS RIDICULOUS. After all we do pay to play here and yet nothing gets resolved.  Remember this started many, many weeks ago , actually now we can say months ago. Publicly acknowledged in these forums by WGTicon on 1/7.  Lack of inaction creates the impression that WGT as an organization could care less. Address this issue, resolve and lets move on.

  You know what I feel bad for WGTicon  and WGTshoe ,  I know they have nothing to do with this mess,    they are probably  piss off   at    what is going on  in the house .    Hope   things will get  fix  .............................

  Seriously...at this point just shut the game down and fix it. There are so many complaints about so many facets of the game not functioning properly that people are really just getting pissed off.

  Why not shut it down for a day or two or whatever its gonna take to get this damn thing fixed.

  Having more and more customers continuing to get pissed off at you isnt going to help.

  There are so many things not working that there is no point in keeping the site up. i have been here for over 5 years and have never seen the game have so many issues. 

  I wont play the game in its current state......save some face and shut it down before you have a complete mutiny on your hands. The game is badly "broken" as WGTicon said....so hit the button and get some work done....Please

  I could not agree more with your comments sir. Its high time that the WGT marketing team took a cold, hard and objective look at what their best strategy is going to be.

  They should think about the demise of Tiger Woods Online, They too, forgot about their commitment to "bread and butter" customers who for years had been asking and pleading with them to forget the gimmicks and concentrate on the quality of game play.

  As we all know, they ignored the genuinely intentioned critique of their customers in favour of developing never ending "quick buck" additions , In the end the game became absolutely unplayable and subscribers left in droves, mainly to join WGT.

  Now WGT are in danger of falling into the same trap. What they are failing to understand is that, first and foremost, this is not a game, this is a simulation of a sport. And the goal of the development team should be to make it as realistic as possible.

  My way of thinking is that the majority of WGT's subscribers are adults, not children, and as such would much prefer quality simulation and game play rather than naff gimmicks like bubble blowing champagne balls etc. etc.
