Issues with sending and receiving invites

  Hello Donsprintr

  I dig what you say about the Dictatorship...Game wise though, if something I used everyday stopped working correctly: It would go in for a timely repair. As human; I acquire habits. AND want to be able to remain doing them!!!

  Yes, was having that problem for a few weeks now.  Last night my friend and I deleted each other from our friends list.  Then  I went to the community tab and did a search on his name and invited him to play from that screen.  Once we started the game sent out a new friend invite and accepted.  Have not had a problem since.   I don't know if it matters but we had been friends since July of 2010.   Hope this helps

   and we tried this and it worked.

  WGT say they have "their best technician" on the job. They need to get another one. A suggestion, if they have trouble to reproduce, is to create a channel where we who are experiencing the problem can tell them "I have this problem NOW!" and leave a skypeId so they can contact us and then trail our attempts and see what happens. No company which claims to have millions of users should be allowed to behave this amateurish. It has been months now...

  WGT golf, between any other virtual golf online simulation (this is: Perfect Golf, EA TigerWood online, OCG Golf and little other), is born the best and remain the best.

  Despite that, during the time (particularly from the last year), WGT management has forgot that the real goal of the Company is not only/directly its own profit, but the fun of the users (from which come the WGT profit, like happens for any other game online operator).

  If the users are strictly considered like chicken from plucking, sooner or later they will abandon WGT, despite it is the best on the web.

  Why WGT give only evasive answers to the questions/requests of the users?

  Why WGT never give to the users generous explanations about its own troubles?

  Maybe we are only chicken from plucking? (If so, WGT behaviour is equal to declare we are about 8 millions of chickens).

  I'm an IT engineer (system administrator), and I well know that if i want implement (without risks) new "things" on the software which run on my pc network, I must save previous environment, so to restore it in case of troubles.

  Why WGT do not? It's the first rule for who works in IT products and solutions (in adding to be clear with its own customers).

  Cheers for any WGT research and development !!!

  But the Company progress must not be independent from the continuity of the users fun (they spend time and money expecting it).

  But in case of too many and very serious faults, the Company must take as much solutions and as much serious.

  I hope sincerely the situation will change very sooner, because I should be very displeased to leave definitely my preferred game (in which, I remember, I spent a lot of time and money organizing tourneys with very rich prizes - and I'll would like to do again in future).

  Compliments to the WGT staff.

  Reproach to the WGT management.

  I'll be glad for any comment about this my quoted post from somebody belonging WGT.

  I'm NOT waiting for comments by some users, because surely exists who will agree with me and who not. Furthermore, no users can say us what is happening in WGT.

  Only I would like WGT ceases to be FUGITIVE on commenting/answering our questions and requests.

  YO DON!!.....Nothing like it in the pro shop,  if it were it'd be way too expensive!

  But I found these on E-Bay, looks like at the current price a month's supply will cost us a buck.  Get 'em now though, I expect the price to skyrocket if the current "issues" here aren't fixed soon.

  After reading, for the last two months, at least 90% of the threads with post about the invite bug & other bugs, I have the impression that WGT cannot fix the invite bug and probably the other bugs neither.

  Not because WGT does not want to do it, despite having its best engineers and programmers in the matter, perhaps it is simply they lost data that cannot be recovered. Something like missing the backup data of the game which is probably lost forever or deleted.

  I come to this conclusion simply because I do not understand why a company who offers a product in the internet based on multiplayer features = "gathering together" has delayed a fix now for almost two months.

  I cannot think of a company, group, etc who will take such risk of losing customers because what they offer does not work properly, not to say only the basic features like playing matches in stroke, skins, etc mode.

  There is something very wrong with WGt behaviour since the last update if not since 3 o 4 months ago when the game started being messy in almost all features.

  I was making fun in the "And everything else" forum section about by creating a thread named; "When will invites be fixed...have a guess" http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/298326.aspx where there were not many options mentioned, unfortunatelly all negative.

  Is this the pinnacle of WGT when the company will start going down the hill until misses so many customers that it need to be closed?. Is this the best moment for a new golf game to come up and compete with WGT offering something similar or even a better product?, etc, etc etc.

  Many of my friends and fellow colleagues from the CC admit to start plating less & less or simply not playing at all the game....and until the game gets fixed things won't look better for any of them including me.

  I have said this before: I hope there were a game competing with WGT offering a similar product ...... a place to go. WGT is in a "comfort zone" that damages our hope to have the same fun game we remember.

  I fully agree with you, Eric.

  And, just since WGT remain @ today the best golf-simulation online, I reproach the Company management (not the staff, which can do nothing about commercial choices): the "comfort zone" - on the web - does not stay forever...

  Invites are not fixed...But you keep asking us to spend our money.  Sorry I don't invest in things that are broke

  This works. Only took the guy inviting me to delete me off his list, I didn't have to delete him. He was trying to invite me and I wasn't seeing the invite. He deleted me and entered the name in the invite box and I saw it instantly.
