    TopShelf2010:

I thought it would be nice to have a place where we as a community could thank the WGT Staff and Engineers for all their efforts. These last few months have been rough on us as players. There have been so many reports of issues; too many to count in fact.

But with that being said, these last few days have been impressive to say the least in the manner at which the WGT Staff have responded. More importantly, the communication between the players and the WGT Staff has been simply fantastic.

There is nothing worse than the feeling of being left in the dark. Repeatedly following the 'troublesome' threads filled with complaints hoping for a response. The responses we, the players, have been receiving this week from WGT is truly encouraging.

I personally cannot thank the WGT Staff enough for all they do for us. The WGT Staff come under fire more often than not and it must be extremely frustrating on their end constantly putting out 'fires.'

Thank you WGT for all of your efforts!!!

Very nice Topper. And while I likewise say "Thanks" for the smooth meter and the other things you noted, I live in a different world when it comes to Kudos vs Expectations. When I shop at Gelson's, I don't thank the produce manager for the superior fruit and vegetables he so beautifully and creatively displays...I expect it...that is why I shop at Gelson's. The same is true with my gardener. I expect my grounds and beds to be healthy and beautiful...and so forth. When I pay, I demand results and don't offer extra back rubs & sugar for someone doing what is expected; which is my normal, not an above and beyond extra bonus they are giving to me.  ~ SP ~

I too love Gelsons. They toss fruit and veggies most stores would sell :-)

But really, with one click, WGT messed up an entire day, they do it time and time again. Lets not even talk about the lies the Mods are forced to tell us (Bandon.....Pebble...Chambers Bay...in that order.....i cant be more clear) ......

    EVERY update has an issue.

To bend over backwards thanking them for fixing their OWN FU is just ridiculous. These problems should never happen in the first place.

Oh and the OTHER lie they have been preaching about for years..... meter issues are all on OUR systems, they have now admitted they can control.

i've noticed that the dots vary in speed when getting ready to putt. If you hold down the arrow to read the lie, the dots on the gridline move slower, then take your mouse off the arrow and it speeds up again thus finding it hard to get the precise slope of the green, kind of a guessing game. I upgraded my flash player thinking it was some software i lacked, however nothing changed,

I have no idea why people clap WGT precisely when the game is more messy than ever.

Sales are great, this is a very successfully company worldwide receiving money every single day from costumers all over the world. WGT ought to fix bugs rapidly to swear the "costumer support" is great ....but it isn't.

How many employed programmers or engineers are trying to fix the game bugs?...not many certainty because there are other more important projects to work on, lets say there are other more important priorities than fixing bugs.

Sales do not stop because of problems with; alternates, invites, meter, cheats, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. balls, WGT big sales product, does great no matter how many complains WGT receive from costumers. There are no big or small costumers here, we all buy balls & equipment all the time.

If WGT had a competitor, a real one that was taking costumers away and because of that affecting WGT economy drastically.......the game would be very different indeed. Unfortunately for us loyal costumers, there is no competitor. So fixing bugs & stuff will always be relative to when WGT stuff has some less busy time to fix it.

I am sure WGT is missing sales among legend or TL players tired of the same bad service, but new players are coming every single day to WGT to use their money in the game that it does not matter if we play less & less.

    Well said Eric.

There are to many apologists for WGT in this forum who praise the site when all they are doing is mending their own mistakes.
