  Yup. Looks like I can golf AND participate at the same time. Amazing, isn't it? Then again I'm missing the whining gene, something you apparently corner the market on. No tongue in cheek there. 205 posts and 200 of them crying about getting screwed by the game. Oh well.

  Andy, no, was not trying to tell Dan anything.  Was attempting to point out what I was saying,  apparently not very good.

  Dan, you and I are both saying the same thing about miss dinging, outside the ding line.   We are just saying it in different ways.  

  I guess I should have never asked the question concerning how wide the ding area might actually be and what effect hitting different spots within that area have.  Was not even factoring  deviation or VEM into the thought as an added effect.

  Sometimes we have to go back and reread several times.
