No good news, indeed no real answers but only a big pressure for this thread.

    WGTicon:

    Hi everyone

sorry for lat reply. I checked with our team and unfortunately our contractual obligations do not allow having them in country clubs.

if this changes, I will let you all know as soon as possible.

    -wgticon

Icon wrote this note is not closing down the door to change, we talk about contractual obligations. We hope therefore that these obligations can be reviewed and modified as appropriate to broaden the choice of finally giving players the chance to present these two links (with the entrance fee) in the ranks of those already present in the country club.

As mentioned, personally, I think this may be a quantum leap above all to give more choice to users by taking into account that having new courses seems almost utopian.

Support this thread to show to WGT Staff how much You all care on it.

    What is TruGolf?

TruGolf is the world’s top provider of real-world golf simulation technology. If you’ve ever hit balls in a physical golf simulator, it’s probably been on a TruGolf course. TruGolf is also the core team behind the popular Links PC Golf Game that many of you probably enjoyed in the past, so they know their stuff. WGT has been working closely with TruGolf to integrate the TruGolf and WGT technolgy, so you can play TruGolf courses like you play WGT courses, with the same physics, distances, virtual equipment and scoring.

Will WGT be adding new courses from TruGolf in the future?

Yes, definitely. Based on feedback from our players we will be adding new courses from TruGolf going forward.

Can anybody elaborate how far into the future please?

I don't see us getting another TruGolf course. The first one was in 2011 and the second one in 2012. If we were going to get another one we would have already had it.

Why did we not get another. Several reasons. Many including me only played them when they we free to play. As a result Tru-golf didn't get the expected amount of revenue. And many players complained about the poorer quality of graphics. Either Trugolf or WGT said no more. Sad but we did it to ourselves.

Anyway, I can live without a new TruGolf course but I surely piss off when I see that two links can't be used in the country clubs just because contractual obligation. Even ones on marketing know that this add on will cash up the register simply flag this two course as deposit fee to play, anyway they will be used.

Contracts are done to be reviewed.
TruGolf will be pay and WGT will cash money, no big deal.

Free this two courses, free them all.

I personally like playing on them, but only get the chance when they are part of a "free" tournament. Credits are getting harder to come by, so I save those hard earned credits for balls. My vote would be: Free the courses up for everyone!  my $0.02, because that's all I can afford at the moment..

I agree with adding those courses to CC comps as well.  Is it not possible to turn some of the CTTH courses into stroke, alt etc., but that would mean money spent.

More courses need to be added otherwise it gets stale and people stop playing.  Lost revenue to WGT.

I made this suggestion to WGT at the time of Cabo's release, it fell on deaf ears then as it will probably do now.

How about selling a pass in the WGT pro shop that entitles the pass holder free unlimited use to the TruGolf courses (as long as the fee is not set too high).

I'm sure these passes would be bought if priced correctly and even gifted to others from some of the more benevolent members.

Let's face it,  as WGT proved by lowering the initial prices, the take up on green fees must be far lower than was initially expected, but a one time fee would be a way for the hardcore members to upgrade their WGT experience should they so desire.

For arguments sake, set the fee for a pass at 10x the normal green fee for a full round.  I'm sure TruGolf would be impressed with the immediate rush of credits into their bank account.

Obviously, for the RG rounds, the fee would still be paid, but if an Alt shot match could be set up when all 4 participants had passes,  many in the WGT community would snap up a pass.

I appreciate this may not be the best solution for the players,  but it  is a sensible compromise for us members, WGT and TruGolf.

Just to add, should a pass be made available in the pro shop, if there was another TruGolf/WGT collaberation for a new course, then any pro shop passes will become even more marketable.
