    WGTicon:

    hi

I have not seen 100's of posts,  and if there are so many then perhaps it should be in 1 thread with everyone else posting there and agreeing. I do not make these, but I send in forum requests, so more detailed/self contained they are the better.

please post on my wall and link me to the post with ideas thats 100's of people want and I will go through it again

    -wgticon

It will take me a day or two, but I will search back through the Forums for you and will copy and paste 10 or 20 of the more relevant posts to your page or to a new Forum Page.

Either way I will do it Icon.

Believe me Icon, I am not telling stories or lying to you. This issue has been a thorn in the side of many regular RG participants.

    Cheers from Alan

anything i can do to help Alan?

I am a RG player almost exclusively and at times when the RG's are good play up to 5 a day.

What really baffles me is that WGT is a business and as a business why offer a product that doesn't sell?? Surely there is some employee somewhere in the company that is responsible for setting up RG's and surely the income from these is tracked on some time frame basis.........i.e Weekly, Monthly turnover from RG's given they derive income directly from their 20% take of the entry fee's and indirectly in ball use which they would have also data on knowing how many cents a hit of a ball returns to them so could very accurately track the income.

Now if this data above is correlated which I am sure it is then wouldn't it also show the most popular RG combinations?.........i.e Which entry fee for which courses fill the fastest. This would negate Icon constantly needing feedback on what works. Further to this, I don't see it is being that hard that if a RG is unpopular and takes days to fill then wouldn't it be removed and replaced with another that fills quicker and therefore generating more income for the company?

Now what business would continue to offer the same products that clearly don't sell (The TL RG's) for months at a time right beside products that sell several times a day (The Open RG's)?

Why not just refund the people's credits who have entered the half filled RG's whom some entered months ago as highlighted in the OP's message and close them down for good and replace them with RG's that will fill?

It would seem the person responsible for the RG's at WGT has either never played the game or never played in a RG because some of the combinations we get defy logic. I doubt it would be very time consuming to set up RG's ongoing given they run for weeks.

    Just my two cents

    Mick

It would take me hours to try and track the success/speed of the RG's , if I knew that it would be acted on i would do it, and besides, YOU have all the data WGT, you just need to be taking an interest.
Rubbish RG's = less games played.
I would have thought it in your $ interests to get this right tbh.

I doubt that anyone would disagree with the OP's main point.

    aichapman:

all my credits would be tied up in TOURNAMENTS THAT TAKE MONTHS TO TURNOVER.

The point of this post is..................WHY? Do we have so many T/L Specific games, when the turnover in Open games is sometimes just a matter of hours

So i would say lets see if you can look at the TL Rg's first wgticon & see how you get on.

No course holes cr $ ent 14/3 ent 16/3
    73656 RSG 9 200 36/50 37/50
    76409 STA 9 200 ? 34/50
    72546 Merion 18 300 24/50 24/50
    71587 Pine 18 300 23/50 23/50
    73653 Bandon 18 300 20/50 20/50
    76400 BOP5 18 200 ? 19/50
    73655 Cong 18 300 15/50 15/50
    76408 Oly 9 100 ? 12/50
    77022 Merion 9 100 ? 6/50
    76401 Oak 18 100 ? 6/50
    77021 BOH 9 200 ? 2/50
    77020 BOF 18 200 ? 1/50
    77023 RSG 18 100 ? 1/50

In the 2 days since the OP's post , there has been ONE new entry in the 5 TL tourneys where a record of the entries was noted.

Why we have 13 Tourneys that clearly people do not want to play instead of ones that they would play is a mystery. Who cares ? good question, i'm assuming you do wgticon, lets see.
So I would suggest firstly stop these TL RG's regurgitating themselves , then decide what to replace them with.

My own view is that there *MIGHT* be scope for 2 or 3 TL RG's at any one time, but I would think that they would need to be high stakes to get the required interest, since TL RG's are, by definition, much harder to win than 'Open' RG's. A little trial & error needed I would think.
( I would also add that high stakes like 800 or 1000cr should be tough courses and not easy conditions, so that the auto dingers get slapped down by the best players)

It's even difficult to gauge the interest amongst high stakes players these days since so many seem to have had enough over the last few weeks.

Thanks for the reply to thread FarFoo.

    Some interesting input.

    Cheers from Al.

PS in a few days I will post copies of what fellow T/L's have suggested re RG's in the past few months.

I will try only to post positive and relative matters that OTHERS have offered. That means of course I don't have to agree with all that is said but I will be fair to all. Like or dislike.

Here is your 1st update and as promised the past forum blurbs will follow shortly.

2 weeks ago 4 NEW Tour Legend "specific" Tournaments were added to our R G list

The 1st one of those has been completed. #76409 St A Fr 9 200 cr.

    The other 3 are                                                  #76400 BOP5 18 200cr       19/50

                                                                                  #76401 Oak  18   100cr        6/50

                                                                                  #76408 Oly B9    100cr        12/50

I may have missed 1 but that's due to scribbling all over a note pad ( Pretty Slack Work Ethic on my part....Sorry )

So obviously St Andrews Front 9 200 cr  is a popular R G as it ONLY took 2 weeks to be completed.

The other 3 are a "work in progress" I guess.

I am not going to do an update on the 5 "oldest " ones as that would be ridiculous.

As for the latest offerings to the fold...............Time will tell I guess.

There is no need for me to keep you updated on the "Open" RG's as they are turning over very quickly indeed. Even some of the U/L s are pumping along........Go figure eh.

    Regards from Alan

PS Icon. Just as a side issue How many "specific" Legend, Tour Master, Master etc RG's are there as I cant see there pages? Do they also have 13 "specific" Tier RG's.?

this is an amazing thing you are doing Alan and i hope your efforts are rewarded. having someone who is willing to coordinate with the ready-go playing public is something we have needed for a very long time.

let me know how i can be of assistance,

    I appreciate your response.

I am trying my best, no matter how long it takes to get some stability in OUR RG's that will keep ALL happy.

I going through the threads at present and finding lots of issues and ideas about T/L RG's ( It does appear even now that for sure we have too many T/L specif games ) from the past few months and then I will be passing them on to Icon, that's if I can figure out how to make an envelope big enough to put them in :-)

Cheers and as always appreciate any feedback on this issue.

    Alan
