It’s not normal that in 2015 the generation of RG tournaments is still manual. Here a suggestion for an automatic process.
The list of RG’s by tier, credits and EL/UEL should be decided one time forever (can be adjusted here and there according to the comments of the players). and should not be changed every periods.
An example:
List of 50 cr. RG’s for all tiers:
- 1 UEL 9-holes RG
- 3 EL 9-holes RG
List of 100 cr. RG’s for all tiers:
- 1 UEL 9-holes RG
- 2 EL 9-holes RG
- 1 EL 18-holes RG
List of 200 cr. RG’s for all tiers:
- 1 UEL 18-holes RG
- 1 EL 9-holes RG
- 2 EL 18-holes RG
List of 300 cr. RG’s for all tiers
- 1 UEL 18-holes RG
- 1 EL 9-holes RG
- 1 EL 18-holes RG
List of 400 cr. RG’s for all tiers
- 1 EL 9-holes RG
- 1 EL 18-holes RG
List of 500 cr. RG’s for all tiers
- 1 UEL 18-holes RG
- 1 EL 18-holes RG
List of 1000 cr. RG’s for all tiers
- 1 EL 18 holes RG
List of RG’s for Tour Legend
- 1 100 cr. 9-holes RG
- 1 200 cr. 18-holes RG
- 2 300 cr. 18-holes RG
List of RG’s for other tiers…
The course, green, hole location and wind should be changed every periods (to define) for each RG of the above list.
The course
Make 2 lists, one with all the 18-holes courses and one with all the 9-holes courses, the sort for each list is different and should be random (but done one time and changed only when a new course is available). For example:
- List of 18-holes courses: STA-OAK-MER-BAN-OLY-….
- List of 9-holes courses: WHI B9-CABO F9-OLY F9-BPB F9-BOHH B9-….
At each start of period, each RG of the above list will have a new course, the next one in the list (for the first period each RG will be associated to a random course).
Example for a 50 cr. RG:
- First period => random draw => 3rd course in the list => OLY F9.
- Second period => BPB F9
- Third period => BOHH B9
- …
Example for a 100 cr 18-holes RG:
- First period => randow draw => 1st course in the list => STA
- Second period => OAK
- Third period => MER
- …
So only the first period has to be done manually to be sure to have a maximum of different courses. Then it will be the case for sure and we are also sure that every courses will be available for each credits/tier one day (the period could be much shorter, like 2 weeks, since it’s automatic).
The green speed
Should be random for each period and for each RG of the above list. But not a total random. I don’t think a tour legend are interested to play with a green speed of 7. So:
- All tier RG => green speed is random (from the minimum available to the maximum available)
- Tour legend RG => green speed is random between 12 and 14
- Legend RG => green speed is random between 11 and 13
- …
Hole location
Random for each period and for each RG of the above list.
The wind
Random for each period and for each RG of the above list. So we are sure to have every wind conditions every periods. Sometime we will have more heavy wind, sometime more low wind but at the end everybody will have the wind he likes for the stack he likes to play.
So what do you think about this automatic process? The examples are here just to illustrate the process, it’s not a suggestion even if I think my list is well-balanced.
