Good post , Took the words right out of my mouth from the "WGT Do Something PLEASE" thread.

    Love this

    Fencer100:
I suppose there was some money making motive with the CC clash con going on this w/end and that was supposed to distract us from the invite s not working.

Arent too subtle are they, either they are dopey bunch of morons or they think we are.

    YankeeJim:
It galls you to think that they were OK for the longest time and all of a sudden within the last update, they're trashed. And now it's a low priority fix.  Go figure.

And I shake my head with the same wonderment, each time I sit here at my desk for 15 mins waiting for an invite to kick in and be accepted or I wait for the next hole to load, each and every hole for 4 - 5 mins, each time. Took me over an hour to play a CC Tourney the other day.
You're right, they were OK for a long while, little idiosyncrasies we lived with, but by and large the game mostly worked.

How can it be such a low priority to WGT when so many of the community feel it is a high priority. NOTHING FLICKING WORKS ANYMORE!

You know what I have noticed in my lack of decent Load Times, i that if I crash the game window down , i can play out that hole and then it happens again the next hole.
And I will crash the game window down again and the rest of the game will load fine....
This I have noticed at least 3 times   -
Is that something to do with the 3rd time out disqualification or something?
Is that why I have also suddenly moved down to a yellow game completion % ?

    TopShelf2010:
Okay... you start. We will all watch your profile to see if you don't play. Then, if you follow through, maybe some of us will follow suit.

Well, actually our club has already been in a SPENDING BOYCOTT for the last week (since we got a wall message of another club doing the same and spreading the word) and we continue to use up our accumulated balls  etc and NOT spending a dime & it has been working fine. Club tournaments created with easier tees etc. Not buying club passes, freeze on games with prizes attached etc - purely optional but a lot of members have taken it on.

I'm surprised not more clubs or individuals are FREEZING the WGT SPEND  -
Happy to take it up the proverbial AND supply the KY?

I did start a thread asking the community to join in a SPENDING BOYCOTT but it was promptly deleted stating that it might cause  a riot.

What else can we do? The forums are MUTE  - We get NO Feedback as to what is being done -

-take a stand and DONT SPEND ANY MORE!
    why wouldnt you?

Boycotting spending with WGT is a great idea, the real problem is getting more than just the ones that come to the forum.  Based on WGT's much bragged about membership, I would imagine that less than 2% even come to the forums.  Even if everyone of them boycotted, WGT probably wouldn't notice it.

The lack of managerial comment on the issues is a mark of the integrity of the company.  Too bad good people like Shoe, Icon , and admin get marked along with them.  they are just doing their job

Boycotting sounds like an idea, but not sure I could go on very long playing the free ball lol.  Just not buying clubs and balls wouldn't mean too much if people were still playing their normal game ball.  Eventually they'd run out and even if they then switched to a lesser ball or some that are just laying around in their inventory they'd end up buying their normal preferred ball if/when WGT finally did something to end the "boycott" and would make up on all the purchases when players bought more of their game ball to play normally again.

With spring starting this week here, and the snow melting as fast as it is,  I'm hoping to be out on a real course in the next week or so.  That alone will lessen my WGT play time.  I'll continue to keep current with club tourneys and try to get some friendly alt shot games to keep up the day played streak but until something changes, I'll be playing with leftover inventory (golf balls that is) here anyway.

Maybe if they add those G30's and or bring in the new Callaway Chrome soft balls with a better competitive edge to the Nike balls,  maybe then I'll play a bit more than expected over  the next few months.

    | for one agree with the idea of not spending any more money/credits until the issues are corrected.

My intent right now is to only play with the free balls, as well as cutting back on the amount of games played.

I would think when WGT saw some of the most loyal players of this game coming on to complain they would become concerned.  There is no way to know how much this invite problem has cost them, but I'm guessing a lot. I for one am not playing as much as I used to & neither is our CC. Most of us are on skype so we hook up on skype first & then try to get a game together. It's pretty frustrating for sure.

I wish I could blame all of my lack of play on WGT, but business life has become hectic and I don't have a ton of desire to play this game at a hotel, but....

50% of my lack of play is just "out of principle" lol - level based equipment, lack of cheat enforcement ruins the great concept of MP challenge and skins, multi-accounters at every turn and the latest green dot fiasco.

I went to starter balls 2 weeks ago and am not only enjoying the thought process that goes in to using them, but the sense of freedom of not buying 600c balls.

It is not a boycott of WGT as I love my ECGA country club, but a boycott of paying them money. It is not for everyone, and believe me the meter with the starters and r11s is crazy, but it takes away your expectations that every shot needs to be a great shot.

Try it for more than 1 or 2 rounds and you may like it...

As a cc owner I am behind the boycott and have urged all to join in. As we are a small CC we will help by being a part of something larger to get WGT to see and DO something about the problems we face everyday and we do not like it!

    GO BOYCOTT
