Played a match earlier and i remembered why i stopped playing for 4 months. The meter was UNPLAYABLE. EVERY SHOT It would pause just before ding or if it didn't pause it would jump past ding. PATHETIC! Instead of enjoying a round I felt frustrated and angry with meter and has made me not want to continue playing. Instead of adding POINTLESS extras like gnomes (or the latest addition i dont know what???) smooth out the meter.
For me the game is currently running smoother than it has ever been. Both meter and ball animations. This is a 5 year old desktop computer with a first generation core i5 CPU. Windows 10 technical preview build 10041 and ie11. The previous build and using chrome did not run as well.
And directly bevor the build change with a real lot of open tabs in chrome the meter was very jerky and almost unplayable. So far I had no interest to try chrome again after the experience with an exceptionally smooth WGT with IE. But it only stays smooth if I limit open browser tabs and concurrently running programs.
The big overhaul of the game engine some weeks ago seems to habe helped with my software setup while you have big problems with it. And WGT has been unable so far to create a client that works at least with almost all of the different setups.
What currently annoys me that the bug that got introduced at the same time that makes the mouse unresponsive after a replay is still not fixed several weeks later. I proposed a fix that should be doable with just a few minutes of coding and a few or maybe several hours of testing and at the same time gets rid of an annoying design error in the WGT web game client..
