  COUNTRY CLUB LEAGUE - THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT

  Hi all alternate-shot tournament players, just a quick reminder that the deadline is coming up tomorrow for the Winter 2011 Country Club League. The first season is concluding right now, we've gone through our teething issues, and we're ready for a big expansion next year. 27 teams from 14 clubs are now entered. Apologies, there won't be any alternate shot in the league just yet (getting matches together is still considered pretty tough to do on a regular basis)!

  Have a look and we hope to see you in the new year!

  Thanks for the update on the CC league Slor.   I'm glad you decided to advertise :) .. Heck I did it on the CC thread ... For those of you who want to get your CC involvfed ... look up the links on the threads Slor has provided.

  Very close game all the way through. Couple of putts slipped by for both teams but some great shots too. Really enjoyed the company guys, glad we managed to get this done :-)

  Thanks to Mark and Les; the advantage off the tee certainly helped at times but the match was played in great spirit throughout. Look forward to playing with both of you again in the future.

  Great Game this afternoon with our hats off to FlyinTurtle and VaBigHack.

  AtlantaCoaster (myself) and NUMP defeated them in a hard fought 1 UP in 10 Holes.

  This match could have gone either way - and it happened to go our way.

  Lots of drama...and even some Meatloaf figured in our game.  :-)  (The food not the rock star).

  It was a pleasure to play with you both.

  Congrats to Jim and Tom , It takes a little of the sting out of losing when you enjoy the company of the other players. Lets do it again soon .

  PGA and myself played our match with Mac and John.

  

  We got off to an early start on the 10 th hole.  The par 5 left my approach for my partner a very tricky shot and Mac/John won the hole with a birdie.  We immediately followed with two more birdies to go 2 up.  The 17th we had our problems and ended up with a bogie.  We halved the 18th to win 1 up.  Thanks for an enjoyable round Mac and John

  Westhamchris and me just finished our match with Priestess and Dansamcan and what a great game it was. Fine company and played in excellent spirit. It was nip and tuck all the way with, at the most, one hole in it finishing level after the 18th. I got the advantage of the short tee on the first play off hole and after a fortunate drive we two putted for the win but only after Dan nearly chipped in, narrowly missing. Thanks Tess and Dan, for a very good match. Great format too btw.
