fmagnets: I hope focus boost never gets rolled out for non-practice play, although this is likely a trial for doing exactly that. It would be an admission that WGT can't competently tackle the slow meter cheats, and instead want honest players to pay to have the same advantage on a shot or two that the cheats have on every shot. It would also reduce the guilt factor for the cheats, as they can tell themselves they are no longer gaining a scoring advantage over their honest rivals, just saving paying WGT credits.
Spot on, WGT Is admiting they can't do squat about cheaters so they think, If you can't beat them, JOIN THEM ------ AT A HUGE PROFIT FOR WGT!
If they did bring them into all modes of play who would honestly buy them?
Take a par 4 18 hole rg and you use it on all 18 approaches, that's 540c, would anyone seriously pay that? Not when a whole sleeve of max's is 700c.
It's a strange addition for sure at a silly price but heck I would pay 5c a pop for a better chance at a ding in a rg..
30 credits to click early for me I would think.......Think mine would be set to off. As usual 30 credits is greedy anyway, but if it cost next to nothing to introduce and took up little time who cares I guess. I think the cheats will be chuckling and that's about it, and we are no closer to solving the problem. EDIT: See some saying an April fool?? Never clicked on it to find out, but would seem an elaborate one?
The new driver looks a solid release, but I can't help but think the levels system is the part that really needs a major shake up at the top end. The revenue bulk is lower down though, and so not much chance of attention to that any time soon.
