The commentary team in Heaven have just received their Skipper.

An ornament to the game in every sense.

    RIP Richie.

The only commentator who, when Shane Warne burst onto the scene, could put into words WHAT He was doing to the ball and HOW He was doing it !!

    Great Innings

    R.I.P.

I played cricket and watched cricket because of Richie Benaud. He was the epitome of the gentleman's game. RIP R Benaud

    A truly great knock.

His commentary days as synonymous with my child hood as my chopper bike.  I outgrew the bike, but never tired of listening to his wizardry of description and knowledge.

Really sad loss - Richie was a great man.

Listening to the tributes somebody suggested that he was the greatest commentator of them all - hard to disagree with that.
