Round 1 match between myself and HughJass... the scorecard will show me as a 2UP winner but Oakmont really won the day, as Hugh and I both struggled. We both hit a couple nice shots... small bright points in dreary rounds. The oddest shot, though ...Hugh was dormie going to #9 ...going for the smart lay up in the bunker, his ball just rocketed thru both bunkers and the rough, leaving a ridiculously difficult pitch from the right side of the green... I had never seen that before.
Very good match, Hugh .... we'll have to play again sometime.
