If truth be known I don't think the dots are the shining part of anything on any course, not been since they played with frame rates?  Sometimes they are fine but get a distance involved, and then they often don't always do what they should as smoothly as they should.  I do think though that with different views / waiting to watch for the fluid speed you can work around the issue, and get there in the end whenever the problem presents.

Distances I have not seen any real issues.  Maybe it stands out more when you really need a shot, and get some whatever.  I dunno really as we all know variances happen.  I have not seen anything wild, and shame someone when else has in an other wise solid round.  Two missed dings just cost me at least 1 bird, and another putt that I should have sunk and just gave it too much coming down, and another long eagle one  at the last another day.......  I already have a 55 though, and adding 1 more was slightly disappointing.

Really can't see the cut going under 55 anyway though.  Will be some real low ones I would imagine, but 55 IMHO is safe as, and 56 not ruled out.  If it does go to 54 I will have to have a few goes burning balls no doubt really try rather than just enjoying the course, playing for fun even though ripping a 55 from the jaws of a better score again was frustrating in the end.  Also no guarantee I would a 54 anyway.

Most of us just need that bit of luck.  54 or lower is written all over it, but the actuality of doing can be frustrating.

Can only say what I see.  Good luck all.

So fare the cut is at 58 !

    Got :  1 at 52 - 7 at 53 - 9 at 54 - 27 at 55 - 34 at 56 - 54 at 57 - and all others at 58 for the cut line....

and I guess most of them have played numerous times but I guess that's what WGT wants.

$$$$ is all what counts in this game but I guess the price at the end of round 4 of the virtual US Open (sponsor partner) is appropriate so....

    Have fun and enjoy

I guess it will anyhow never change but it was worse giving a other view to it.

GL to all who are at 58 and try to lower it to 57  :D

LOL..weeeellll, tried it again...Had 1 eagle 6 birdies and a bogie on the front, I had a perfect plan for #7, it consisted of ramming the ball into the hillside with topspin, then it would pop up on the green and gently roll up to the pin and possibly go in! Yeah well so much for that stupid f'n idea....

Go to the back -7, par par eagle par par par par par eagle....3 eagles in 1 round and shoot a 60, I can't make a birdie putt on the back 9 to save my life, missed 4 putts for bird from 6.5ft or less, one from 3.5....LOL I'm done!

A little bit off topic, but can anyone tell me what these buildings were part of?

I'm guessing part of an old rail depot or a power plant?

Discussing this hole in AS last night, one of the comments was "either you're short or long on the approach." I agreed and suggested the right play might be to do exactly as you thought- maybe not ramming the shot but hitting into that upslope with top spin. What happened when you tried it?

Those are the remains of a gravel mining operation.

IMO best is throw it up aiming to land pin high / a fraction long and veering just right.

Have you tried that? I have and "throwing it up there" doesn't stop (level 92 Nike with Vapors.) The shot trajectory sends it in hot and winding up long is not a good risk. Laying up to a pitch is a much better play as that's a 50-50 birdie.

Bump and run is what I was thinking and wondering about and that would only be in the absence of a nice headwind. Forget stopping anything with a tail wind.

That's why I love this course so much, there are possibilities for great shots using lots of different shot types. I could imagine Trevino thrilling the crowds here with his inventiveness. The topography  (once learned) is going to give us all the chance to try out new ways of doing things. Most courses on here have 1 or 2 holes with quirks that can be used to advantage, Chambers is studded with them.

Here's just one example of what I mean. I spotted this quirk of the 4th green from the bunker under the green.

I took what I'd seen and practiced the approach for a few shots  Now this will be my shot of choice, get it right and it's an eagle every time...
