alanti: But it shows how far equipment has come when we talk of a cut at 56.......makes a mockery again of a great course.
I can't defend 56 as a cut, and nor would I wish to (15 birds out of 18 even if no eagle needed in that for 56). Fact is equipment did just got too good.
I would say though that the conditions are easier than certainly I expected, and a big plus is that you can maximise scoring potential by playing the roll on some greens, IMO.
The B9 driveable par 4 (? exactly which one) struck me as fools gold trying to drive it, well, at least unless you really need to chase an eagle That's also admittedly without without really knowing the hole / course. Played conservatively it's pretty much a gimme bird. Maybe that higher trajectory L100 driver might land soft enough often enough or the 3 wood is OK with a fair wind, but some good risk v reward still I would think. Anyway I won't be touching it again VUSO qualifying mode wise unless I need to improve my 55, and know full well qualifying is as far as my realistic chances take me. It's not playing hard though, as say, and so I personally can't see the cut getting as high as 57 (early doors), and can't see enough of the masses grinding it to 54 (math easy on birds needed for that). Like I said before though, famous last maybe, LOL.
Good luck in your attempts :)
