What part of your game needs the most work? Everyone plays somewhat different. How well a person can deal with a faster meter speed makes a difference. You have an advantage if you can consistently ding with clubs that are 2.5 meter speed with a ball with little or no meter speed enhanced value (in other words, cheaper).
Try tracking your stats for a lot of complete stroke play 9 and 18 hole rounds. At least 20-30. Look at your average distance to the pin, your total putts, average distance putts made, putts/hole, and longest putt. How are your sand save and scrambling percentages? Greens in regulation, and driving average and accuracy?
These things will point the way to where you need help. Also try some of the WGT balls if you're still using the started ball. I often play with a G13 S vapor ball (pink, 129 cr) and have shot some of my best scores with it. It's about 1/2 the cost of Callaway L37 Vapor ball (with a little bit less enhancement). I like the Cally also, and often use it in tournaments where the wind is high, or where I want a little more spin.
If you do this, then you will know what you need, and if better equipment is the answer. When i went from the Lvl 30's TM ATV wedges to the CW 588's at the lvl 70's, it probably cut at least 3 strokes of my game.
One point, better irons will give you a little bit more spin. I just went from lvl 59 Ping G25's to lvl 85 Nike VR's. I'm finding that the Nikes will often hold greens better with the long irons than the Pings did.
Try these things, and then post again saying where you need help. Also, send me a friend request if you want to chat about it privately. I hope this helps.
Hit them where you're aiming.
