Get the new Nike putter out , anytime soon......with proper increments

Tis YOUR wish, but IF I was to get it, I'd be happy with 15/30-etc...why...cause all I have ever used.

    Hey Andy, eff ya!

Have to say the 15/30 scale made for an easy transition from the L96 Versa

But when you are putting from only 5 feet most of the time Mark....not much of a transition! :)

I loved the lower level Nike...and still use it when my putting goes AWOL (more frequently than I would like to admit) and the best thing was the scale. Yes I transitioned to the Versa and have never fully adjusted to the different scale.

That said, I doubt I will make it to level 101, so I am kind of surprised that WGT limit the number of players who are actually eligible to buy it. Maybe a reward for those who play a lot, a disincentive for many others like myself.

Alan, I wish my ADP were 5 ft, been stuck on 12 ft for what seems like an eternity.  Fmags said the same as you, he prefers the L94 Nike scale.  For those of us used to the Versa it's the best of both worlds.

I agree it should've been released at a lower level, L98 or so would have brought in many more buyers.

Think about that for a bit Mark....

You know how so many folks/forum posters, talk about WGT just catering to the new folks, with updates, etc, and "to hell with those of os who have been around a long time"...mantra.

I look at the upper level cubs/etc, sort of an "award" (to buy) for putting in your time here.

Okay, call me crazy, but the best stuff available should b e available for those who have invested the time to earn it:)

I think saying 3+ years solid play before being able buy top equipment looks wishful or just tired.

In fairness though by L90 it looks basically done score wise.  I think they should jazz things up and allow talents to get it open sooner.  It's not giving anything away doing that IMO, as could still take two years and graft.

Anyway up to them, and that recent L90 iron issue kept several happy that might have said don't bother, soon.

I hear you Baggs but ....and it is a big but......this system works well to a point. Yes it gives some players an incentive to get the best goodies....but it also deters some as the time between drinks at the higher levels is a long one.

Like every WGT cunning plan, they are poorly thought out for the long term (eg CC levels). There are no real incentives or rewards in the game.

Then from WGT's perspective, they are not realizing the income potential by excluding many others. On the other hand they are unscrupulous with Focus Boosts, CC Passes etc.

Lets face it, what keeps players playing? The game itself (and yes it is a great game overall) or the equipment you "might be able to get"?

I think it is the former, I suppose the latter is icing on the cake.

My final point is equipment has probably peaked in terms of attributes - how much better can it become (thus giving those loyal long term players an advantage). As it is the game has become so much easier than even a couple of years ago and massively different from when I started,

No doubt...much to gain, nothing to lose. A little while ago I played 18 with all my starter gear & balls and was amazed with the difficulty to break 70. The hang time and nurtured interest here is short term in so many cases because the free and early gear is so terrible and it develops game skills soon to be useless.

They have tinkered with the Greens again (putts not breaking like dots show, distances a touch off again) trying to force you to buy new Putter ...... as always its a $$$$$ Grab !!

    WGTicon:

Funny that you say that. I believe it'll happen soon :)

Actually, you should all blame me. I was selfish and convinced them to do 15/30ft scale (I tried for 15/25ft but had to compromise). We couldn't get the other one in the last release but I hoping it'll happen soon.

If the two are the same apart from the meter increments then I assume they'll be available at the same level and for the same price.

    Or is that naive?

It would strike me as unfair if those who prefer one meter over another were given the advantage of a superior putter.

I'm happy with my Versa but have always been, and will probably always remain, a gear freak.  Level 101 is along  way away for me but who knows?  Maybe I'll even spring for some credits when I get there!

I still prefer the 15/30/60 scales as that is what I have been using for sooo long, but nice to see the normal Nike increments for those who wanted them.

There are those that want one or the other but aren't at the Level, then there are those like me that are at the Level but are credit poor lol.

Guess I have a reason to muscle through daily vids but have no patience for the surveys.  43 credits down, 4,652 more to go LOL.

I am reluctant to expose myself  to the bitter disappointment that will inevitably happen when I find myself missing the ding with the Level 101 Nike.

Looking ever more closely at the level 94 Nike and the saving of over 1200 credits.

Really the increments don't make a damn bit of difference as anything over 12 feet I use the 100 scale anyway.
