What if he hit a ball every 20 seconds?

Can he though?  If he hits a long iron or driver he's probably going to have a few seconds of flight time, unless he's hitting in a simulator.

And I doubt he's going to be firing balls like a machine gun, he's going to want to replicate playing a shot when it counts surely?

If he's on a range hitting real balls then I also have a hard time seeing him hitting 1,500 meaningful balls.  Meaningful as in actually thinking about the swing he's about to take and thinking about the outcome and why the ball perhaps didn't go exactly where he intended.   If he's on a simulator that instantly tells him where the ball finished them yeah, perhaps I can buy it.

Simply hitting balls as quickly as you can doesn't do squat for your game.

Does not have to be 1500 drives , could be some putting and chipping.

1500 drives and his back would be broke in two

MM's right IMO.  Hank Haney's rapid fire technique didn't do squat for Charles Barkley's game! LOL

But then again, not sure anything can fix Barkley's swing.....

And there was me thinking 20 secs was loads of time!!

I think so. I found his Golf Course 2 vid on Youtube and watched him hitting 2 practice drivers. It was 19 seconds between strikes with no rush to it, including pegging his own ball up.

I think I recall from Volume 1 that he most liked practising with a mid iron, so there wouldn't even be any pegging up of shots with his most common practice club. Just move the ball into position, have a waggle, and hit it, watch the flight, repeat - all day long every day!!

I was lucky enough to live on a golf course for 3 years.  Including practicing chipping and bunker shots, I would say I  could easily  hit 1500 balls a day. I bet when Vijay Singh was in his prime, he hit more than 1500 balls a day.

Ahem, point of order first if I may:)

It's called FOOTBALL ......One may also term it footy..:)

It's OK I am forever correcting Australians on the matter too.  I do notice here though finally the sports channels are referring to it correctly as Football:)

I heard. We still call it kick-ball or a boring way to waste an hour. But, we are getting way better with it with now because of all the massive illegal immigration from third world countries coming here for a hand-out, coming from backward places where it is still a rave.

very easily done, as a junior in my grad year i was trying hard to get a scholarship....i was hitting 800-1000 balls a day and playing 18 holes of practice....you dont take 60 seconds to hit a ball unless you are receiving instruction as you are hitting them or making several rehearsal swings to correct an error.
