My cards for round 2, nothing of note, I'm afraid

Thanks again Corwyn for the great tournament

    Corwyn:
Please note: Tourney ends tonight at midnight WGT time!

Well, I just got my round finished in time, but then experienced a ShockWave Flash crash as I was trying to get the card and stats.... aargghh... and now the stats are lost forever. I got the back 9 card, and was just looking at the leaderboard when it happened.

Ironically, had it crashed at any time during the round, I'd have been fine. It would have taken me back through the game client to resume the round. But because the round was over, no chance to see the rest of the stats screens.

How infuriating! Even though I didn't have any chance of success with any special categories this time, I was looking forward to seeing how I'd done across the whole year in the different stats.

    -------------

#1 5@12  >124 dreadful pull on 2nd easy shot, lucky to stay on but way left; dinged 150scale try from 33ft but just low, made 4ft save PAR

#2  4@1030 left good angle but overdid 3W 2nd and off back, tried to hole flop (which I'd managed in practice) but 4yds past!, but saved with beauty 13ft putt woo hoo!  PAR

#3 3@1030 aimed L edge of bunker but dinged drive went right into rough! , dinged bunker escape tried to play long but bounce into ridge didn't kill pace enough and rolled off back, and woo hoo shot of the round!!! 60% 50fbs 27yds big uphill sidehill  BIRDIE

#4 5@1 2 dings to >87 but big sidehill, lost distance, 4yds short right using 90 1/2ts and sunk super 13ft putt!  PAR

#5  8@1230 dingD, 3W >87, too much on 3rd shot and pushed 6yds long right and sunk perfect downhill speedster from 19ft 7d BIRDIE

(now -2 after 5 with a couple of great escapes)

#6  7@2, 205fbs 96% but slight pull and ran long 6yds , but misread big early break 19ft attempt PAR

#7 6@3 horrible pull on t shot into sand! ugh  and nasty sidehill lie (see pic above), forced layup 2nd  >65 out aimed too far left for safety with 3rd and rolled left as well 66 distance 4yds away; just gave it fraction too much break, caught the lip from 11ft clumsy BOGEY

#8 7@115 good T shot to catch slope and big 3W made it on! Just not enough break on 12ft try, ooh good chance there for very unlikely bird on this hole PAR

#9  5@1030 dinged 160 98% (not sure 150 could have reached) 10yds long, 29ft try didn't get the break expected, made 4ft save PAR

#10  3@6 2nd to >165 pushed 160 and it went way long off edge on right , bad pull on 27y shot went 3yds left, and pushed 10ft par save try which I really should have made: bad dropped shot here!  BOGEY

#11  3@6 good ding 2nd but came up well short of pin, good effort from 25ft but misread  PAR

#12 7@12 bad line and distance did layup instead >58, terrible push on punch59 and 6yds right, far too high from 22ft BOGEY

(At this point, I started to realize I was running out of time to finish before midnight, 15 minutes approx for last 6 holes! ... so fewer replays grabbed from this point on!)

#13 3@845 decent t shot went way right almost into sand! pulled 2nd slightly and short rolled back off; pitched to 3ft and made save PAR

#14 6@1 >208 despite trying to be conservative here with nice dinged 97% 3W still managed to roll long and proceeded to throw away another shot; tried 50fbs from nasty sloping lie, but way long; 28ft putt slid by.  BOGEY

#15 3@430 nice 170 t shot stunned into ridge and rolled round to 5ft above the hole; sunk BIRDIE

#16 2@1030 poor 3rd from 62yds overcooked, but great save 12ft curler from long left  PAR

#17  3@9 10yd long with choked 190fbs, but then sunk beauty 31footer  BIRDIE

#18 3@11 pulled 2nd way left, and just missed 24ft birdie try, 0.4ft tap-in with 4-5 minutes to spare!

    ---------------

Unofficial stats (from the above notes taken during the round):

    GIR: 9 greens hit (incl. all 4 par 3s) = 9/18 = 50%

    Ave. Distance: 113 ft approx for the 5 non-par 3 greens = 22.6ft

    Distance Made Putts: approx 110-115ft

No. of Putts: 27 (including no 3-putts)

    Longest Putt: 31ft

FYI: Jure (mkrizan86) is new to the whole screenshot thing, but got as far as creating the snapshots. He emailed them to me for cropping/stitching together. Here is his R1 (still awaiting R2 info though)

    Corwyn:
Everyone will have until midnight Thursday 6/25 (24hrs after close of tourney) to post any outstanding cards/stats.

Reminder: you have until midnight tonight (WGT time) to post any remaining cards.

    Thank you!

    And here is Jure's R2:

It looks likely that his Ave Distance to Pin score (a result of a dismal GIR, lol!) may be enough to secure that prize.

I'll try and update the spreadsheet asap...

Here is the Special Prizes Stats Spreadsheet. Please do check your info is in accurately.

Something wrong with R1-R2 putt imp stats Corwyn..

Btw 17 1 putt saves is immense scrambling from Alca.

Thanks Razza for noticing that! It was off to the right of my screen, and I didn't even register it. Must have been a hold-over from a prior month, when a prize was offered for Best Putting Improvement from R1 to R2.

I've fixed it now, but this month it's not being offered as a prize.

And yes, you're right, Alcaucin's 17 one-putt saves certainly is an incredible feat with these sticks.

Soooo, if the results are final, I would kindly request the winners of the following categories to name their poison:

    - most 1 putt par saves: Andy (I suspect you'll want the Max, but will wait for confirmation

    - least bogeys : Mr. Magnets

    - most birdies : Corwyn, Xprt, HIOSoon and Vaibhav5viv

You can send your requests via PM, wall me or stake your claim in this thread.

P.S.: The 4 way tie in the last was a bit of an "ouch moment", lol. But if Corwyn can put as much time and effort into these comps, sending out a few sleeves is the least I can do ;-)

L90 Nike Blacks would be great for me. If too expensive, the Nike L61s are also fine.

But I'd suggest it is best to wait until WGT settles the tournament officially before anyone sends anything.

    Thx :-)

I am so sorry I missed my birdie putt on the last Jure! Would have saved you several sleeves... I feel bad about that one :(  But thank you so much for such generosity.

If you can forgive me, I'd like lvl 81 Nikes. Thank you!

Mags is right. Because the tourney was included in the official game client tourney list, it's a formal WGT event. For that reason, I've held off announcing final winners both for the leaderboard and the special prizes until WGT does its proper close-out procedures.

I anticipate their process will be completed early this week, so please watch this thread for news.

    Why ?

    What will change ?

    WGT gonna come out with...

" We have practiced due diligence this time, 'in a free, no coin for us comp', and WE as a Company have ascertained that Javier is a cheating MOFO who used his own driver and his usual wedges.....We just couldn't be arsed in the V Tour Final last time ! "

TBH, their track record is slightly patchy....if WGT said it was night I'd peek out the window at 11pm to confirm ;-)))

EDIT:-  and He cost me a sleeve...if I ever see him in that fookin cafe, gonna kick him right in the bollux !!

Size 11 in the 'nuts', OR the 'Equalizer' as I call it... hahaaa
