I bought this putter several weeks ago and have diligently for hours on several occasions tried to get the performance out of it that the wgt specifications did indicate.

This putter in my opinion doesn't hold a candle to the L55 Rossa which I am still using.

No matter which method of putting I employed.

After some reflection, I put negative feedback on the L77  leave feedback page.

Surprisingly that feedback is not there on the page. Evidently my review did not pass muster with wgt.

Also surprising there is no negative feedback whatever on that page.

Which is difficult to believe considering my experience with the performance of this putter.

I believe that many players who have played with me in Alt Shot over the course of 2458 games or so would consider my putting ability to be fairly decent overall, to excellent on occasion. Allowing for a bad stroke here and there.

I had thought that since the wgt L77 specs indicated a much better level of performance than the L55 Rossa it would be a great investment in my overall game.

But that has not been the case.

I am disappointed because it did perform fairly decent in rental.

Generally in the real world if I purchase a product and am not satisfied, I can return it in good condition for a refund within a reasonable amount of time.

However this is not wgt policy.

Have been playing the Nike putter for over a year - the only glitch that I have noticed is that the ball seems to drift to the right (viewed from the pin toward the player) on dinged putts.  Otherwise it seems OK.

I've said* that an item may ' exhibit, maybe w/ some exception, its full capabilities' during rental. Yet, if you buy something it may have an adjustment time as Icon said in that thread.

Dont like Nike putters, all of them i tried dont keep the line and as Wheels65 said drift on end of putt. You cant putt the right distance and must to add a few for straight line. Versa dont do that.

Hey Programplaya, sorry to hear about it. No one with longevity escapes mishaps of this nature. To start, the 55 Rossa Daytona has proven over time to be in the top 4 or 5 putters we have here...it is a great one. As everyone here starts out it is with a 30-60 ft scale. We get very used to that math and most often upgrade to a 15-30-60 scale to stay in sync. The Nike L-77 requires you to discard everything you know and have stored in memory and start fresh with a new-fangled 10-20-50 scale...this alone is a move that has to be learned while using what you know, which has nothing in common with the new venture. That coupled with a different meter, different forgiveness, and a different balance is a sure-fire recipe for failure, but in no way makes the L-77 a crummy product, just a different one.

    To talk short :

Nike putters dont work as TM, Versa, Ping and else.

You must forget how a putter work and learn the Nike way.

The Nike 77 works just fine in my opinion....( better than the L35 ?  ghost and def better than the L48/ 47  ? Redwood, in which I both invested....

    I say ' invested '  ;-))

( there was no L51 nike around back then... if you liked my increments then it was the Manta or nothing )

    horses fa courses I guess.

Turns out when you can putt then the 'blade' makes little diff 95% of the time...knowing the line and what you are using is more important.

Nike putters are pretty decent till you try an Odyssey putter (lvl 70-96). After you try them there's no much room for doubt. Odysseys are better in my opinion.

The OP should state what exact issues he perceives / are in fact the fault of the hardware.  Got some very good players around here very happy with the Nikes, and it's an unusual complaint.

Had them all :).Gosh I should not be allowed near toy shops.  Currently have the M1, BUT in the free rental been trying the little L70 again, and what a great slow meter smooth and accurate thing of beauty to use......All personal I know.
