Many many thanks Don, I'll give it whirl around 10 am GMT ( 4 o'clock here in bladdy Thailand)

I'll have everything crossed it works for me.

Should be a classic final day - anybody's guess as to who will win.

Yeah, that road hole hole coverage was good enough for me, but today I wanna see the whole thing.

    Thanks again.

Might kick off the afternoon with a nice G & T and home grown limes if it works.

Followed by an Indian chicken punjabi curry and nan bread.

They've been having great coverage on ESPN Jim ... ABC also had Saturday afternoon coverage, but the Monday coverage is only ESPN as far as I know ..

I discovered my cable service provider lets you log into ESPN to see what they have. Going to try it tomorrow and hope I get to see the 4th round while it happens.  :-)

If you not in the US but would like to see it streamed here are the options:

Not HD quality but easy stream coverage

Free to view - BBC, Golf Channel & Sky Sports etc:   golf channel live stream

    TV Listings:

    display.asp?channelid=19&programme=Sport&programme day=16+July+2015&programme time=allday&submit=Search

    HD quality stream coverage

Direct live coverage from The Open

    http://www.theopen.com/LiveCoverage (annoying in my opinion)

There is a popular Russian free HD stream program called AceStream  http://acestream.org/ follow instructions for installing (installing instructions are in English)

Once AceStream installed you can do the following, go to  http://torrent-tv.ru/channels.php and change the language to English (right mouse click). Once there you can find a large list of HD channels, among them:

    • ESPN has been sending all holes with nice championship coverage : ))
    • BBC 2 had sendt The Open nicely too thursday & friday for outside UK but has not send Saturday & Sunday, perhaps to day they will show it again
    • SPORT TV 4 with Portuguese commentary
    • NOVA Sport with no sound but great HD quality

AceStream can also be used with its own Ace Player (included in the download) but you need to find in the net the AceStream channel you want and then simply copy/paste into the player. http://www.livefootballol.com/acestream-channel-list.html here there is a large list of AceStream channels with Sky, Arenavision, BBC, CanalSport, BT sports (not all of them work all the time), find your channel and then copy/paste in the player the LINK.

    Hope this helps : )))

When the situation is reversed and I can't view live sport being broadcast in other parts of the globe I use an app called MOBDRO. Huge selection of streams to choose from and 9/10 times perfect quality.

It won't work on iphones or your laptop/pc  (an emulator may sort that) but will work fine on all Android devices.

You only rarely get an ad popping up, usually when switching channels, and even then it'll last 30 secs tops. No need to disable chat boxes or click on X's etc to remove adverts that block the screen

*Click the image above for details/FAQ etc.

Anyone wanting to try it should visit the site via the device that they wish to install the app on.

It's playing live right now Jim, on the ESPN golf leaderboard website that I posted the link to ... but it's the Portuguese (or maybe a Spanish) feed they're airing, and while the video quality is outstanding, if you don't understand the lingo, the commentary is unintelligable .... (did I spell that right?)

Anyway ... you don't have to do anything ... just click the link and it's playing ....

And the downside is, they're airing commercials this morning ... arrrrgggghhhh ...

Are they so stuffed up they can't share it all with the rest of the world?

I NEVER agreed with you on anything BUT there is a first time for everything and this ^^^ is the one time I would agree.

    WTF!

Looks like I am regulated to the open live (not) combined w/ radio coverage.  Oh well, Le tour just went live... 117k to go & loads of feeds available.   Crap!

All these amateurs toward the top could see a bit of a boost to all the pro's winnings.

The Open chiefs have released the following statement...

"The Open is a standalone championship and the Championship Committee does not believe that first-place prize money should be paid to a second place finisher.

"Amateur players are not eligible to win prize money and therefore, should an amateur win The 144th Open first place prize money will be distributed proportionately among the professional players who have made the cut."

There's a link to the right of the screen that takes you to the English version-the one that says  "Watch: Round 4..."
