Argghh let Dustin go out in that and lose 3 shots lol

I understand the UK people would love to see a British player winning the championship, I even myself hope Rose wins it  : )))..... but nope, I hope D. Johnson wins the championship. He has been so close several times but Spieth as won them all. D. Johnson is a great guy, humble and seems very ready to win a Major.

As even BBC was mostly sending live tv with his group, I could see why many golf people believe he will be the winner....his power from the tee!. In almost all holes he was driving 60 yards longer than Spieth & Yokohama and that gave him 2-3 irons less for the approach and in sometimes he was only chipping to green.

Wind will certainly play a big role for the next two rounds and that could be a big hazard for his power from the tee, however, wind will be the same for everyone and rough might be the place for approaches.

    Weather update

    No play before 15:00 BST

"Forecasts we are receiving show that no golf will be possible before 3pm," says the R&A. "Our intention is to commence play as soon as possible after that."

    This is crazy, really.

Are they going to play 4 men groups tomorrow then?, the championship will absolutely not be finished by sunday evening and perhaps not even by monday evening.

Amazing stuff, Tiger still in contention at the weekend!   At this rate will probably still be in contention on Sunday, didn't see that happening on Thursday evening.....

It will be finished by Monday evening.

    The forecast for tomorrow:

    • Sunday

Rain clearing in the morning to leave a mostly bright day. A few showers developing in the afternoon mainly over high ground, dying away later in the evening. Light winds.

    • Monday afternoon the wind starts to pick up again.

It seems unlikely that round 2 can be finished, and therefore round 3 started, before 7pm tonight giving a maximum of 2 hours of play.  The wind is dropping a wee bit but the problem will remain the gusts.

My guess is round 2 will be finished today but maybe that's all.

    Some options.

    1) 54 hole tournament: has the virtue of simplicity, finish round two today (or even tomorrow morning) and the tournament on schedule. They just couldn't though.

    2) Play off two tees for rounds 3 and 4 (faster moving more likely than bigger groups I'd reckon) playing whatever they can today and the rest tomorrow.

    3) Round 3 tomorrow (and 2 if not completed)  and round 4 on Monday (perhaps starting early if the forecast is a worry).

I'd slightly favour 3 as most likely.

Wind isn't nearly as bad now, see no reason why they can't start soon.
