  Have you any plans in place once flash is no longer with us...

  Have you heard or read approx when Adobe will be obliterated Andy?

  Not yet m8, don't think there is a confirmed date but HTML5 have made Adobes' position untenable by winning the 'mobile devices' WAR !!

  Adobe won't be able to carry on 'as per' under those circumstances...therefore will soon cease to exist ?

  Which puts OUR flash based game as we know it at serious risk ?

  I was having the same problem with firefox, went to adobe's site and downloaded the latest version and now I am not receiving the message from firefox that adobe has security issues, Just did this this afternoon, so not sure if they closed the loopholes in their security or Firefox has not caught up to it yet, will update if something changes.

  they already are doing that, with the option to let it run if you choose to...hit "allow and remember" and that's it...they just disable the addon so they aren't responsible if you get hacked which is highly unlikely if you have good security software

  I'm pretty sure whenever Flash becomes a thing of the past we'll probably have a good amount of notice to change the game platform. Which will probably bring a ton of bugs with it at first. So keep that cache clear. 

   

  In all seriousness, It's probably not something we have to worry about for a long time.

  " for a long time" is a fairly wide open statement. What may be a long time for some may be a very short time for others.

  Just curious champ, let's use this topic for example, what is your definition of "a long time"?

  Anyway, I've often wondered why WGT haven't created their own flash player given the swing meter issues and the problems some players get whenever other flash players get updated.

  Not being a computer tech myself, I can only assume that is too great a task for the WGT techs.

  Welllll, windows vista was the beginning of the version of OS's, that was almost 10 years ago and it still isn't right!

  So I would guess flash will be completely replaced in about 12 years...

  Just yet ! ;-))

  Been around what ?...8 years ? So at least x2 the lifespan left before flash is not available on any browser.......

  After all..our nearest Star is on the wane...only got another 4 billion years to go !!
