Can anyone tell me or explain why my average isn't getting lower. My avg is 70.91, yesterday I shot a 31 on Kiawa and a 32 on St Andrews and my average stayed the same. If I shoot over par WGT raises it, what do I have to do, shoot 10 under?
You shot some higher scores in between - assuming you have not yet played 500 ranked rounds as Legend, they would have pushed the average back up again off-setting the scores below your average.
I agree with other comments that after many ranked rounds the movement after each round is small. If you only look every now and then it might seems with ups and downs that it did not move.
If I assume you had played 400 ranked rounds up to a couple of days ago, and then look at your most recent scores (doubling 9 hole scores) your average should have moved as follows (I have put an extra few decimal places to show you the detail - but remember WGT rounds to 2 digits)
400 RR |
70.93 |

70.92768 |

70.91045 |

70.91315 |

70.92574 |

70.93333 |

70.90909 |

70.91176 |

70.94377 |
66 |
70.93171 |

70.91971 |

70.91748 |

70.89588 |

70.88889 |
So when you shot the 32 (2nd on list) your average would have shown as 70.91 (having dropped from 70.93)
A few higher rounds pushed it back up to 70.93 before you shot the 31 which again dropped your average to 70.91
The most recent run of 5 consecutive scores below your average has seen you drop it from 70.94 down to 70.89
It will drop a lot faster once you reach 500 ranked rounds - and then every low score will replace the highest score in your best 500 rounds as Legend.
I hope this helps
