This window popup when I was logging off WGT.

I use FireFox 3.6.13

Hi Shade , just a question...is the FF 3.6.13 the one that is advertised FireFox for Beta ? I am interested in trying it myself.

I had the same thing happen to me logging off. I also use FF 3.6.13.

Ace, this is the commercial version, not the Beta. The Beta is version 4 I think.

Hi Ace;

The version I'm using is not the beta. Just to let you know the beta version which you refer to is (4 beta 8) has a feedback feature that most are not aware of. Don't use version 4 till it comes out of beta, then wait for a couple of months.

There is a reason not to jump to version 4 as it comes out of beta. Mainly, it is based on newer technology, (gecko engine) , open webgl to improve loading etc. There will obviously be a couple of hiccups, so let it settle down for awhile as the updates are applied then use version 4.

JMO

If anyone is using the current Firefox beta 8, what are your impressions.

Hi Shade,

I'm using the current BETA 8 version of Firefox and haven't experienced any error message like you describe in your original post. Not even with version 3.6.10, 12, or 13.

The game loads fine with the BETA 8 version. Page load times are fast too across the web, but since BETA 8, flash crashes have been a little more frequent. The new BETA 8 has increased the off-line storage to a full Gig as well. I also like the bookmark button in the browser.

I downloaded BETA 7 several weeks back with some apprehension, but after using the browser, I found it to be quite stable for web browsing, and playing the game being it's a BETA browser. I'll continue to use it until the BETA 8 bugs start showing-up, and surprisingly haven't to date. I understand the full version of Firefox 4 will be released some time next month.
