Not a good start for Red Dirt.

I was the sacrificial victim but I can say that I've made a new friend. He's a VERY good player and he's a darn fine person to boot. And his wife plays as well! It was a pleasure playing with him and even though he took me to the wood shed, I had a great time! Thanks Mike and I hope we can play again!

He won 4 up which was a good indication of how well he plays.

    Hole 1:
Mike landed the ball 1 yard from the hole. I had a brain fart. Mike 1 up

    Hole 2:
Mike landed short, I was 11 yards long. He put his 3rd shot 5 feet from the pin.
I managed to sneak a par, Mike was unlucky and missed his par putt - all square

    Hole 3:
His approach was spot on. I had a brain fart and then putted stupid. Mike 1 up

    Hole 4:
I got a 367 yard drive! Mike as usual stopped his approach on a dime and had a tap
    in putt for birdie.
I managed somehow to sink my approach for an eagle. All square

    Hole 5:
Managed to thread my drive on this par 5. Mike landed in a good spot with
216 yardsto go, and landed his 2nd left of the green in the rough.
Mine was a bit short, on the fringe. We both missed our putts - all square

    Hole 6:
approach shots were both a bit short.
My 3rd shot was better, Mike hit the flag and went off the green.
I managed to miss my par putt and so did he - all square

    Hole 7:
My drive was safe, Mike ended up in the bunker to the left of the huge green.
My approach was 5 yards away, his was 4 yards.
I managed to of course miss my birdie putt. He nailed his - Mike 1 up

    Hole 8:
His drive was 3 yards from the pin. Mine was 2 yards.
I sank mine, he missed - all square

    Hole 9:
Short par 4 - both very close to the green. My approach shot was pathetic.
He of course nailed his to 2 yards. He got the birdie - Mike 1 up

    Hole 10:
Good drives - his 78 yard approach again 2 yards.
I had another brain fart. Mike 2 up

    Hole 11:
Par 3 - Mike hit to 3 yards, I went 9 yards past the pin. I miss my putt
Mike makes his - Mike 3 up

    Hole 12:
2 safe drives. My approach I get to 1 yard. His is 0 yards! Mike 3 up

    Hole 13:
Safe drives again. His 172 yard approach lands 10 yards from the pin. So does mine.
We both make par. Mike 3 up

    Hole 14:
Safe drives again. Mike's 2nd shot is on the green, 23 yards short of the pin.
I'm also unfortunately on the green, 15 yards from the pin.
His eagle attempt goes 40 feet past the hole. Mine is 9 feet past.
And we both miss our birdie putts - Mike 3 up

    Hole 15:
Safe drives again. His approach shot was awesome. Mine not so much.
    Mike wins 4 up
