Just competed my match game against Driver80296.  It was a very well matched game.  Driver is a great player and could have easily dispatched me early on, but due to some misfires I was able to jump in to the lead early in the first round.  We were AS on the first two holes. A misfire on drivers part, I took hole 3 and was able to keep the lead a few holes. By hole 7, I stumbled and by hole 10 , it became evident that "I had picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue."

On the back nine he smelled blood, was gracious and said it was now "going to be a battle on the way back in."  I , safely behind my computer screen , chuckled and got a tube of glue. By hole 13, me 2 down and regretting my decision of" picked the wrong week to quit crack."  At hole 17 we were AS again and as well on 18.

Round 2 - Hole 19 thru 21 we stayed AS and Hole 22 I was able to take the hole with sweat in my eyes and a shaky hand. Driver is again a great player and I enjoyed the match immensely.   Thank you again sir.

Couldn't screen grab the scorecard as I was using a new browser to me, but just finished the round with BigTommyh. It was neck and neck....went the whole 18. Had a weird end, not sure if it was an accident on his part, he made a clutch bird putt on 18, I had still about 6ft for mine, and all of this sudden the Flash started saying I won the match +1. BigT, not sure if that was intentional, but great match nonetheless. Thanks for it, was loads of fun.

Whew, a couple of very close matches, excellent performances guys. It would have been a thrill to watch these matches & it's almost just like being there when players share their play by plays. It's turning into an exciting battle, thanks to Patricia's fine pairings.

1 up now for RDG but still 7 rounds to go.

NickDiNardo defeated dawa06 in a 18 hole match play game on ST ANDREWS LINKS: THE OLD COURSE.

This one went to the 2nd Extra.
Alain went 2 up after 2, before I went on a run of 4 to go 2 up. By the time we got to 9 we were AS.
I took 11th with a bird then 13th with bird, Halves all the way till 16th before Alain stuck one to a foot, and I bailed out short.
Only 1 up with 2 to go, nervous bogeys to half 17th.
Alain held his nerve and got a well deserved bird on the last.

1st extra  Alain is 3 yards from the pin, myself approx 5. I get nervy and strike the putt early it pulls out still 5 ft away, by this time I'm shaking like a leaf.
Alain has a putt for the Match, he struck it well enough, just ducked on him at last moment.
    We halve and go on.
2nd extra both middle of fairway Alain up first, His 2nd catches the bump and pushes him low and left of the pin.
My 2nd cleared the bump and bit leaving me a 4 footer. Alain didn't get in the hole with his 3rd leaving a short tap in.
It was a marvellous game and I'd like to thank Alain for the company and the competition.
    Tam.

    I agreed !

What a match ! I'm not enough strong to "beat" you, and i'm not quite sure i will be one day  lol !

You deserve this victory by far, well done, all this course in a very good mood, better than all I made with some "jerks" guys crawling around :)

A real golf course, with all the tension, the crappy shots, the wonderful shots, I was so struggled that I slap my caddy several time on the head ... :o(

But here the result : another great friend on my tiny friendlist. Thanks again.

    Alain.

Score 1 for Red Dirt.  Just had an enjoyable match with Bruce.  Bruce had some nerves that got him in the hole early.  He did manage to settle down better but a string of birdies on holes 4-12 netted me a 7up win.  Unfortunately Bruce did not play his best tonight.  We will play again soon Bruce and thank you for the game.
