A pitch on # 2 Pinehurst goes 3 feet but a Chip goes 3 ft past from same distance ???

I know,  whats the up/down who cares YOU know its not correct !!! A chip goes farther than a pitch ??? BS !!!!  say what you will, this game is going downhill fast because of some amateur programmer who couldn't tell a Binary number from an alphabet letter that they use to make updates or changes !

and for those who want it, 15 ft 1 inch up off the fairway and Tournament greens, hit a pitch of 13 feet, hit the chip a full 10 ft.   Again its crappy wgt programming !

    Solarflares:

I'm thinking you may have used full back-spin coming out of 40/50% rough?

    That's your answer.

I would study the forum thread "Chips and Pitches" if I were you.

    Hope that's some help

With all the problems on WGT it has to be from the solar flames I've been hearing about.  That or the earth will be destroyed on the 24th, or WGT, which everyone comes 1st.

This scientific diagram should help the OP and anyone else who struggles with Pinehurst.

Once you fully take on board the information it contains you WILL improve your scores -

So, just out of curiosity, I went out to #2 and tried to replicate this.

     Couple questions:

1, What position in relation to the green were you? I couldn't find any shot from the fairway that shows only 1inch uphill.

    2.  You say the shot was 15ft, do you mean yards?  If it was in feet, I'm thinking you would be on the green or fringe and not fairway.  It would also explain why I can't find a shot from off the green with only 1 inch uphill elevation.  Or it was actually 15yds and 1 ft up and you played it as feet and inches?  I know I've done it, with calculating for uphill when it was down hill or tailwind vs headwind shots.

No disrespect, and not saying there can't be a problem within the game, I'm just looking at this as a puzzle to try and figure out for something to do at work.  LOL

It's called Zombie golf. You know, the kind of golf where you're hacking along, playing shots you've played 1000 times and your mind goes into cruise mode. With all the converting from inches to feet and feet to yards, it's real easy to do exactly what you laid out. Been there and done that.  DOH!  :-D
