My ATTEMPT: shot hit a little softer to end up 'under the hole' went the distance but side putts suffer the heavy cant, maybe hit even softer and keep the line, cross wind L2R did blow ball hole right.

FORUM: ??? the best option I have found is to keep the approach below the hole for an uphill putt. I would rather be 15ft below than 3ft above the hole but remember to add a bit to the uphill putt because anything too short will simply roll back down to you!

Lately I shoot 5 yds short and to the right of the hole. This way the ball path crosses below the hole and chances are good for a straight(!) 15 ft uphill putt plus a tap-in for Par.
Hit your tee shot into the hard sand (dark coloured) on the right.... then you have a straight shot too the hole. The only thing doing that is if you get into the soft sand, you're in trouble.
