Ryan, I would like to propose an idea I just had. :-)
It appears that the playoffs for the 3 way tie in the BMW championship have held up 15-20 people from starting next weeks tourney. (which should probably be pushed back a week or cancelled because we're running out of time to get 3 rounds in)
What I propose is this;
What about making a rule that if there is to be a playoff that all participants must get together in a timely manner to complete it. Say 24-48 hrs. from Wed. nites completion date. That would still give the rest of us 3-4 days to complete rounds 1 and 2, leaving Wednesday for round 3.
All playoff participants must complete playoff round. That way no 1 will get left out, or setup with a playoff time that they can not keep. If all participants cannot complete the playoff round then they would automatically split the points. For instance; this last week 3 players tied for first. If they do not get in playoff round take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place points add em up, (975) and split them evenly, i.e. each one gets 325 points for that week. If 2 players were involved the total would be 750 points split in half, or 375 points apiece. This would insure the point completion of the last tournament and allow the rest of us to get on with the next one, so as not to be pinched for time or even having to cancell a tournament. It mite lite a little fire under the participants also, because by splitting the points, someone loses a chance at 500.
I hope I don't upset anyone with this idea, but this was goin pretty good till this wrench got thrown into the works, and if something is not done about it, it's bound to happen again.
