    LOL Alberich!

    oneeyedjohn:
all the Nike putters have gone down 5 levels.

Just wish they would go down in price.

    I'd pay 2K for a putter, but not 3.5 > 4.7K

Imagine how much cheaper they have become - about 1 M XPs earlier...

A sleeve lasts for about 5x 18 hole games which bring around 3,000 XPs
with one CDP bonus. Thus, you need 333 sleeves for 1 M XPs, 100,000 credits
@300 cr/sleeve, and, basically, two premium putters are free of cost now
if you are at level 96 - or aren't they?

    Goods maths alosso.

And if you play with 450 cr balls you get the 3 putters for free, with 600 cr balls the driver also is free  and with 750 cr balls you'll make a profit. :)

Sorry alosso, those maths are absolute bollucks.

I was already at the level to buy the M1 / M2 putters when they came out therefore the reduction in level has no effect at all on my desire to purchase or not.

Excuse me, this is valid! It's not my fault that you miss the precondition of my maths = L96.

Maybe they put those putters at that level for a limited time only, like they do for some drivers in the past.

     I see only that reason

All the top line putters past L70 are close to 6 and 2 x 3 as far as any "hardware" can help.  Those M1s are more choice, at an ever more dream price, never anything to really strive for when higher anyway.  I never even mentioned the L55 Daytona........Anyway plenty of threads on how personal putting is and why who likes what and why, but I think Levels wise it's about right now if it stays that way.  All JMO.

Having said that guess they ran out of time for my new 5 speed L96 Versa toy, or was it system overload on the price LOL

Not only that but once a player reaches L98 everything over that Is just eye candy . By L98 a player will already have purchased pretty much all of the top gear needed to play well from the tips . Now with only the L100 Nike irons and 103 R1 driver in the pro shop , the next question is whats coming new to the pro shop ?

I already have the 96+ Versa putter and over 11,000 credits in my account . I see no reason to buy the nike putter especially since it`s only been about 10 months ago when I bought the Versa . Maybe if a free rental comes anytime soon I will try the nike putter but it would have to be really sweeter than my Versa in order for me to make a change oh and at a better price too . Although the specs on the nike putters are slightly better than the Versa, is it worth spending 700 credits more than the Versa ?

Chat box is still broken, since 7/31 update.  Any chance they plan on fixing this?

In regards to CR and purchasing equipment.  IMO, anyone who has a 57-59 average should have no problem (seriously! none) winning ridiculous amounts of Credits from ReadyGo's which will easily fuel ball and future equpiment purchases (if you want them).  It might take a little bit of $$ or patience (surveys/etc) when you first start playing but.........

Once you've been around for a bit you should Never have to invest your own money again.

IMO it's a think long and hard, it was not worth it at all for me.  Certainly I would say wait for a free rental to see if you happen to just like it - personal stuff.

I have the M1 sitting in my inventory whilst the L70 one does what I think I am capable of.  Now maybe if a player is almost glued to the 100 foot scale any extra balance is a good thing, but that's not my way.  I also get the slower meter which I prefer for the L81 ball.  For approach play the L100 irons allowed me to save on balls moving from the L90 to the L81 (slower iron meter).  The L70 Versa sits nicely in that mix for me.  I could move back to the L90 ball, and use the L96 Versa or M1 and be at least as well off IMO.  The will to adjust to that L90 ball / L100 iron set is currently not really there, and not sure it would bag me any better overall scoring anyway.........maybe it would but talking tiny now and then if it does. I do think more careful green exploration and practice / notes would help, but I have a long history of not bothering to find out:)

EDIT: Arguably the M1 seemed a bit strong on a few 8-12 footers compared to the L96 (yes 96) Versa.  Maybe just more consistent, slightly different behaviour v the L96 ? If pushed I would say certainly the latter but I was veering the L70 Versa for it's slower meter anyway before I really got to the bottom of that.

Choices and a personal view derived from actuality and maybe some just perception (right or wrong).  Coat of paint difference between all those putters for me in my game, and the L70 (yes 70) I feel edges it overall - JMO from my standard for my game in what's likely the most personal choice of all:)

BB 3Ws that are a bit less inclined to wander as often or with a reduced max circle of deviation at least?

My new L96 Versa putter with a 5 meter ? - perish the thought on price LOL

    290 yard 8 degree loft driver ?

A brand new 225 yard hybrid ? LOL

Just extra toys to choose from mainly if they turn up at all.

The people who are REALLY getting screwed in the pro shop are those who fall between level 90 and 96..

Once you get the irons at level 90 and the SLDR driver at level 79 or 89.. Once you get the 3W at level 89 and the wedges in the 80's.. Once you get the Versa putter at level 70..

There is absolutely NOTHING to upgrade until you get to 96 for a putter and driver, and 97 for a BB and Nike irons.. That's ridiculous..

Why in the hell you don't leave the "limited edition" R1 permanently at level 93 is beyond me.. I've got credits and I'd like to spend some. But apparently you don't want to sell anything.. F**k it.

Or, they keep them at that level and are going to drop a new putter here soon and are just trying to get a few more purchases for the existing putters first?  ;-)
