  I'm sorry if it sounds like spam but it's not...It helped me play WGT as i could not play with that memory leak building up so much after just a few holes.......it is very small and works with windows to release memory buildup and it solved my problem....hope it helps    MTBR

  I'm computer stupid.  I downloaded it, but how do you get it to work?  I have it on the desktop.

     then you have to install it from there. just double click it, then look for it in the START menu as a recently installed program, after you install the program, you wouldn't need the download anymore....click on it from the start menu to run the program and you should see a performance monitor pop up near the clock area and an icon unless (like most people) you hide your icons, which is not a good idea. I've seen computers with 15-20 hidden icons running at startup and people didn't even know they were running in the background. ...and then they wonder why their computer is slow.

  The little broom icon next to ram is a memory cleaner.  

   

  that works also but would pull more system resources as it is a much bigger and stronger application.....and to run something like that on a "slower" computer would just increase ram usage ....but works great on computers with sufficient ram. There are many, many, clean memory programs out there I'm sure. In fact, Windows probably has it built in somewhere. That's what it does. It lets Windows clean the memory for you.

  that's a video for specific instructions for another game and looks alot more complicated than what I posted.....my instructions would be  

   

  INSTALL IT....SET IT.....and forget it !

  Thank you MTBR for the tip, info and link.  I just found this thread, went for it, installed the cleanmen and it's currently running in my computer.  So far, everything looks great !

  I too have ASC & its works awesome but yesterday a gave cleanmem a shot , wow! i noticed a real difference, smooth smooth!!  :)   thanks for this nice tip MTBR..

  I found this somewhere in a review of cleanmem, wonder whether I should try cleanmem, since I have Wins 7 64 bit

  Special Note:

  I recently upgraded to Windows 7 (64-bit).  To be quite honest with you, after about a month of use, I don't see a need to install a third-party memory optimizer.  I'm sure that some might disagree, but I won't be using them nor will I be testing them on my Windows 7 system.  My recommendation, if you have Windows 7, is to leave well enough alone.  So far, I am quite impressed with all the tools within Windows 7 including disk defragmenter, backup, search, and even memory management.  I'm finding myself using less and less third-party tools with Windows 7.
