I know from the forum that many people feel WGT does thing to make their experience worse. Like you, IDK first hand. The problem with the amount for the payout being wrong sounds more like a data entry mistake to me. They happen a lot when the new weekly and monthly tournaments are posted. For example, look at the November CTTH that shows Wolf Creek as the course. When you open it, the tournament is actually on Kiawah. Not the first time thats happened. So wrong amounts being entered could happen also, I would think.
Like most of us, I too get tired of the swing meter problems and the disconnects, etc. The word that strikes the most fear in me on this site is "Update." But I hang in and still try to play because I enjoy it also.
What makes you think everyone at WGT Member Services has read and is familiar with all the FAQs? The very answer they gave you is the complete opposite of the posted explanation of tiebreakers in the FAQs. Sounds like someone who is uninformed or mis-understood your problem.
My personal dealings with them have been resolved OK, but it took a little time. I read where many members have had LOTS of trouble with member services. Remember the Cally lvl 33 chrome soft balls when they first came out? Obviously there are many people working there, and some must be more knowledgeable than others.
I don't want to have this become a confrontation between us. I simply responded with what I read in the FAQ's, along with my own first hand experience. And I haven't been condescending to you about what happened. Nor would I ever suggest you clean your cache.
I agree it would be nice if scorecards were displayed. Then you would know for sure what happened. I would guess they aren't because of the space it would take up on the leader board.
All I can say is I hope they will eventually resolve things in a satisfactory way for you. Good luck on your quest, as I think you need that. You're doing the equivalent of fighting City Hall. And good luck in your rounds on the courses. All my best to you.
