8 out of 9 holes at Pebble into the wind?

  IRL Pebble 9 & 10 very rarely play into the wind, just when the occasional summer southern tropical storm remnants that sometimes reach this far north hit; otherwise they play with a cross or tail wind. 

  I don't expect WGT to mirror the local conditions, so wind could come from any direction, but consistent wind oreientation on the course layout should be achievable. In a normal <5 hour round of golf the wind direction generally does not vary; yes mornings are calmer then afternoons, some holes are sheltered and protected, higher shots have catch more wind, etc, but a set wind direction per round would create a better experience.

  I have never played SA irl, so I can't speak for #1 & 2 as they appear to be at a 45 degree angle from each other, but I have played Pebble quite a bit and #4, 5, 9 & 10 are always the same wind, with 13, 15 & 18 the opposite

  WGT say they try to make this as realistic as they can

  ive just been on pebble beach offical website 

  8 of first 9 holes run along the coast

  only 1 hole #3 doubles back on itself,

  so in theory you will get wind in same direction on 8 out of 9 holes

  Isn't that a Brazillian flag next to your name?...you sure travel a long way for a round of Golf...lol... (I don't even like travelling to the other end of the city to play)

  There are other reasons to travel to California like Redwood forests, Disneyland and Hearst Castle, and play a round at PB in between (dreaming...)

  Or, you go somewhere to play a round per day - "A vacation day without golf is a lost day!" I like to play eight different courses in one week's stay, or more :o)!

  Concerning  the wind in WGTland, a frequent complaint here is to have headwind on those long Par4 tracks, only to get tailwind on the Par3s.

  As said before, there's no connection to reallife geography or meteorology.

  Have not played there recently, even though we do live nearby. All the times I played Pebble were in the 90's and early 2000's, it was before they changed to the new #5 par 3.

  As for the flag I fly WGT assigned the flag based on location I was in when I created the account, which was this time last year when we were in Brasil for the holidays. I'm married to a Brasilian and we have an apartment there, so spend a fair amount of time there. There are no golf courses (like 0!) in rural Brasil, found WGT as a nice avenue to fill the void.

  The Olympic Club is also close, but never had the chance to play there as it is Club Privado. A few miles from Pebble is Spyglass Hill, a great course that would be a joy to have here.
