red tees AND unlimited rounds.    haha, very funny.

And it's also very fun.  'Cause that's what this game ultimately is, right?  Fun?  :-)

Well, I just played a quick practice round from the reds on Pebble (shot 25) and, personally, found it no more "fun" than playing from default tees. The ability to drive par 4s and make a couple of easy eagles just doesn't do it for me.  And, the chance to do it over and over and over lessens the thrill even more.

    But .... tweechisown

I just did the same. Shot 24 and it was fun for a change of page. I would rather shoot a 27, 28 29 from the tips then play Pebble from the reds over and over and over..... You get the picture.

    Agreed!

And on a separate note, it's nice to see such spirited discourse from the WGT community! That includes you, ct345464301.

    Kudos, you guys!

Red Tee warriors don't we just love em !!

I would rather stay a legend than compromise my principles and hit multiple Red tee tourneys to tier up. If I'm good enough to make Tour Legend then I'll get there playing from my default tees, not take the easy road !

So are you assuming all the people on that leaderboard are your so called red tee warriors, my bet is most CC's on here have some red tee tourneys available and yes some no doubt have quite a few and yes some players play them often, that is their prerogative.

I also often play against the player who is top of that leaderboard and i can assure you he is more than capable off of any tees

Totally agree with you,  laugh at the vitriol being spewed over a game that is supposed to be fun for everyone no matter what game they play.

"Gentleman Mike" took the rare liberty of posting his thoughts in this thread, so there was probably some "spirited discourse" also going on in his CC.

I mentioned that having fun is an important goal, but so is loyalty to your CC and being a team player...you have to protect and even defend them at times...I'm not sure you've hoisted that in.

Nobody gets the boot after 24 hours simply for embarrassing a CC in the forum. There had to be more going on. At the very least, I would suggest you owe Mike an apology (if you haven't already provided one). But, that is also entirely up to you.

I have nothing against those who play the red tees,  hell even I play them from time to time just to change it up a bit.  Funny thing is I don't play much better than the back tees LOL.

To be quite honest, I think it's silly to even worry about it,  if it helps people tier up before they are ready for it, then it's on them.  It's those who avoid tiering up just to take advantage of the easier tees in tournaments and challenge matches that need to be spotlighted.

As far as the red tee warriors go,  I guess I'm guilty of the same thing ( or similar in some way).  Back as a Legend and feeling ready to be a TL,  I would play the weekly low wind/no wind tourneys over and over until I made TL.

I was just bored and wanted a goal to reach.  Didn't make me any different as a person and I didn't feel any more or less proud when I made TL.

As a 105 level legend with a 68.72 average, I am very comfortable hacking the ball around with friends in an Alt shot game...what others do is their business. The one exception is those who take advantage of others...sand bagging, identity theft designed to lure lonely people into gifting...stuff like that.  No moral compass and shameless...There is enough of that garbage on "reality" TV.

In this particular case, we all know CCs have some dirty laundry...but, there is never a need to air it publically and embarrass the owner and members of the CC, under the guise of "having fun"...that's just plain weird.

Indeed.   Might be context to it not shared and who cares if they are happy.  Speaks volumes about the person doing it.
