Played my game with Pip. A super player but an even better guy. A true gentleman and a scholar. If his putts had gone in, he would have mullered me by even more than what the result was.

All the best Pip great to have you as a friend bud.

Thank you very much Dave, kind words.

Really enjoyed the game despite my nerves due to having such a big audience haha. I missed a few short ones but sank a couple of long tricky ones to make up for it, that was probably the best i've played for weeks.

Great match in great company and a few good laughs, was a pleasure to play with you mate. Still chuckling about the dog conceding my long putt on the 6th lol. I really enjoy these friendly inter cc's win or lose, look forward to a re-match sometime Dave.

Best wishes to you and best of luck to all those yet to play, enjoy your matches

    Pip

paul english beat dodgyputter one up.

what a great guy alan is and a great player. i started like a train on the f9, with 2 eagles and plenty of birdies but was only 2 up as alan was also playing well. apart from hole 10 where i went 3 up the back 9 was all about alan and by hole 17 we were a/s. the only glitch in the game was wgt throwing us the spinning circles and blank screens and as we got chucked out of the game on hole 9 we decided we would use hole 1 as are 18th hole if we needed it and boy did we need it. i managed to sneak the win after alan made a wrong shot choice. its a shame the game ended this way but a true gentleman alan was and will be playing him again some time.

just want to say a big thanks to nico and dazza for getting this club on, wooden tee seem to be a great country club with fierce but fair members. really enjoying the banter between the clubs on twitch. top stuff both clubs.

    Couldn't agree more Paul.

I was shown nothing but respect from the Wooden Tee members on twitch last night and Dave went to the trouble of posting on my wall following his defeat last night, he is a true sport, a gentleman and a credit to Wooden Tees. He also has a brilliant sense of humour, top guy.

For all the negatives that people seem to focus on in WGT when things like this come off it keeps it all worthwhile, huge thanks to Nico and Dazza for bringing this together.

    Top stuff indeed

    Pip

    FYI:

    KenBTexas(Legend) vs Corwyn (Legend)

will be played tomorrow morning (Sun 1/31) at 7am Central time (Ken's time) and 5am Pacific/WGT time (Corwyn's time).

We have hopelessly incompatible schedules so are trying to make this work early early on a Sunday morning... I'm hoping not to be too dopey!

^^^ Thinking this match up is due to tee off on the upcoming hour mark (1pm UK time)?

See yourself green, Corwyn. Will the game be streamed live via Twitch/YouTube?

    Hi Johnny,

We did tee off at 5am, and Ken and I just completed a really enjoyable match (I lost connection just after the 9th, and so we took a bit of time getting back from that. Thanks for your patience Ken!).

I ended up winning it 4&3 but only because Ken shaved the hole with his putts time after time.

I was lucky to get off to a fast start with birds on 2, 3, 4, and 6 for a 3 up lead, with Ken lipping out on #2, #5, #6. I made a mess of 7 bouncing through the back to bogey, and we both birdied 8. Ken shaved the hole again on 9 while I birdied and it was back to 3up at the turn.

He got the mystery 'come-up-short' effect on #10 but holed a beauty pitch to halve my 7ft bird, but on #11 his attempt to bounce off the mound just missed and found brush. My 6ft below the hole approach was enough to ensure the win and a 4up lead, which became 5 up when I holed from 15ft for eagle on #12 while Ken just missed from right next to me.

Ken won one back on #13 with a sweet 6ft bird while I just missed from below the ridge, and he won again on #14 with a 7ft bird that got a lip-in (deservedly after all the lip-outs!).

But I closed it out on #15 with a 7ft bird from hole-high left, with Ken almost pitching in again from short right.

We played through 18 for the practice and the chat. A most enjoyable match, and a real pleasure to meet such a nice guy. Thanks Ken, and thank you SEL for this challenge!
