  The mini world cup of golf 2016

   

  Hello all

   

  Here is a list of the courses and formats  that we will be playing over the next 12 weeks.

  All rounds will be ranked/scored

   

  Round  1

  1^st march to 15^th march

   

  Oakmont

  18 holes matchplay

   

  Round 2

  16^th march to 30^th march

   

  Congressional

  18 holes strokeplay

   

  Round 3

  31^st march to 14^th april

   

  Royal st georges

  18 holes stableford

   

  Round 4                                                         

  15^th april to 29^th april

   

  Kiawah island

  18 holes strokeplay

   

  Round 5

  30^th april to 14^th may

   

  Pinehurst no 2

  18 holes stableford

   

  Round 6

  15^th may to 29^th may

   

  Olympic lake course

  18 holes matchplay

   

   

  Matches must be finished by midnight on closing date,any results after will be void (0 points)

  Can't wait 'til it starts. Quick observation though, the way the rounds are set up, every team will be playing every team twice, but both time in the same format, just on a different course. Nothing wrong with that, but wouldn't it be more interesting, if the formats were mixed a bit, so team A plays other teams in different modes.

  For example: 

  - A vs B  MP + stroke

  - A vs C MP + stableford

  - A vs D Stroke + stableford

  Just throwing it out there, although a tad late. Cause the way it's set up now, top players from each team will be facing the same opponent twice in the same mode, just on a different course.

  hello friend

  thats not a bad shout,never spotted that one,didnt realise we playing the same team in the same format.

  this is what i want,an input from players and captains to make the comp the best it can be 

  i have changed the matches so we will be playing teams in different formats

  as an after thought too make it interesting

  i would like to have sponsors for nearest or closest to the pin on each round

  il start the ball rolling with the first game on oakmont

  closest to the pin on hole 9 with their second shot which is extremely tough

  a sleeve of balls of their choice

  it must be recorded or agreed with their playing partner

  dont know if you can  save a replay in matchplay

  any more sponsors please

  you can choose any shot you want on the courses we are playing,the tougher the better

  ^^^^^^ They would if Paul stipulated red tees or they could use the scores of 100 members to our 8 ;-)

  P.S Never seen them playing any inter cc matches to be honest
