PAULFINN52:
A question Paul, I know you've probably answered elsewhere but it's a lomg thread now. Can you clarify the Stableford scoring please for round 3.
Answer to your question steve.i will put scoring when i post the round but just a heads up for you
bogey=1 point
par=2 points
birdie=3 points
eagle=4 points
albatross/double eagle=5 points
the higher tier will deduct points off their score on completion of 18 holes
hope that makes sense mate

RESULTS TO COME IN
Derbyshire G&CC vs Las Vegas Knights (2 matches)
can we get them played please
Got one of these played today :)
I played my match with Tony48 (Derbyshire G&CC) earlier today...he won 38-35...seems I had a similar experience as Jim (Texsoon - LVK), BUT we didn't have to wait until the 11th hole...lol...how about the 2nd hole!!!
I went and hit my tee shot in the right green-side bunker on the par 3 2nd hole and made a very sloppy double booger 5...then Tony promptly made a birdie on the 3rd hole and so should I, but my putt stopped right on the lousy lip of the cup...yikes!!!
So we were 3 shots apart after 3 holes...then we were 5 shots apart at the turn...needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper...I couldn't sink a putt to save my life...lol...but I did light it up on the last 3 holes; eagle, par, birdie...I flopped it in on the par 5 16th for eagle (after boogering both the par 5's on the front 9...hate it when that happens...lol)...then as Tony said, I hit my best shot of the round on my final approach to the 18th from about 178yds...I stuck it to about 3 feet and birdied the last.
Tony was a true gent throughout and played a very steady and defensively safe round after my botched up front nine...his only hiccup was on the 15th tee shot...and it really wasn't his fault...he got metered and his ball only went about 75yds into the 40-50% rough...he hacked it out and up the fairway to scramble for a booger...lol
I scraped and scratched about to get my round to a respectable one over par at the finish, but the damage was done early and I couldn't rally much of a comeback...here's the cards...cheers!!!
