The green speed wasn't bad as our CC had just had a tourney with green speed of 7.1. I had a couple of eagles but way too many pars. I hit 1 awful shot and one stupid shot resulting in balls going into the water. But I did manage to birdie both those holes. I finished -16 74.

This tourney play from red tee, high wind (the only problem) and with green speed of slow 7

I score a very, very, very poor -20 (70)

Just after i play ready go with same wind condition but from long tee and i score -22 (68)

Whay i see from that is with luck i'm good, without luck i suck

Morality, if i need luck to score good, i suck big time

Going pretty well at -20 after #14 then....

17-19mph, dreaded left to right wind on #15...WHACK...straight into the forest and OB !

So...one DB later and facing a 30-32 mph head wind on #16..no chance of clearing the water and an easy eagle iron in. ( did someone mention a LOTTERY ? )

At this point the 3 eagle putt lip-outs came straight back to mind and the tranquil Spanish Sunday afternoon was soon echoing with expletives / promises to throttle Icon / never play WGT again etc etc... ;-)))

Another lip-out on #17 brought naught more than a gallic shrug and a wry smile...

All in all good fun Ic...bring on the superfast UELs !! ;-)
