    WGT Players:

I am sorry if my last post caused so much grief and some blasting of me for 1. not being highly ranked and at a low level. I only can play this game very few times during the week and for a very short time frame due to my work constraints. I try to play as much as I can but with limited time, it gets hard.

I know it would take time and money to get new courses added, mine was just ideas to add to our flavors of the current courses offered. *sigh*

I just wanted to add my thoughts and not get blasted by many of you for my low rankings and low rounds played. Good grief, it's just a fun game to play, not for me something I have to play all the time. I was really taken aback by some of you attacking on me for my low rounds and low rank and low money used. Read what I said above.

    Have a great day all.

I take it that you meant this thread.

More or add more courses for Stroke Play w/o fees

You could have just replied there and said what you said here.

I missed the thread in question but have had a look at it now.

I can see why anyone would want more courses, when you start out there does appear to be a bit of a shortage of them.  Why do we have so few when old PC games such as Links had tons of the damn things?

One reason is the hundreds of thousands of photos it takes to create a course here, a very costly and time consuming exercise.

Another is that not every course will allow WGT to represent them, Augusta for instance apparently has a deal with EA and won't allow WGT to use their course.

However, as has been pointed out, while there may not be a massive choice of courses here, it takes a great deal of time and many rounds to get to know them all. I've been here nearly 6 years and am still hopeless on most of the courses introduced since, and including, Olympic.  I just don't play them enough to learn the best way to play each hole, until I do it's always going to be a struggle to play them well.

Since you play so little I would think the courses we have will keep you occupied for a long time.

I'm trying to have a great day, I really am.  Somehow it ain't quite kicking in for me though, hope it is for you  : )

Yes, I did mean that. I just sometimes think starting a new thread would make people look.

I fear that some may have spilled out their frustration about the missing courses over you - never mind. Furthermore, thoughts and wishes like yours have been published here many times, to no avail.

Fact is that the number of new courses has diminuished in the last years. Pebble Beach came almost a year after it was first promised, and only half of it. This year, we don't expect a new US Open course because Oakmont is here already.

It's hard to throttle down the expectations, but it is as it is. I have learned that hope is not a good companion here.

Enjoy what we have, there's many nice views to detect, and the challenge rises with the tier.

    Have fun!!

    Thank you MainzMan!

This post was more refreshing than someone attacking me for not playing much and being at a lower level than they are or just in general.

Yes, I do realize it takes lots of money, time, and "blood, sweat, and tears" to make a course for a game like this.

Yes, I am still learning each of the courses offered now. I do like a couple of them like Royal St George and Kia Island.

The courses do keep me occupied but I just want to see more, but as the old saying goes, "patients, grasshopper, patients"

My Thursday is off and running. I am on a quick break before prepping for a business meeting and luncheon!

OK...I just read the thread in question and the responses. Trust me when I tell you that you were not attacked. Take some time to read through a few of the threads...full scale wars are waged in some of them...really over the top accusations, name calling, etc. It's akin to the GOP nomination battle.

Play as often as you can, post suggestions when you feel it's appropriate...this forum is open to everyone...don't ever be shy to do this...a few people may snipe, but just let it roll off your back...honestly, your suggestion was reasonable (although been asked many times before) and the responses were not that bad.

    cheers,

    ct
