    cindythepitbull:

You cant take away equipment from a player that they paid for, what if they never make LEGEND? Do you reimburse them?

Good point Gary.  In the end that's true.  At some point if WGT did that compensation would be due in one form or another.  It would be similar to taking the older R9 away from Masters and TM's after the change because they weren't leveled high enough to use it.  Fact of the matter is none of us lost anything we already had after the change.  Gotta love hindsight! LOL  I stand corrected.

So, if WGT makes the Pro Shop tier-based, and level-based within each tier, they'd still have to release equitable equipment for Legends in order to level the playing field.  All of which needs to be accomplished without inflated prices or a depreciated lifecycle for balls as is the norm.  The new R9 and the Callaway balls NEVER should have been available to anyone.  And, the Legend Callaways should have had the same lifecycle.  Furthermore, WGT should offer more credits for Legends when we sell back the equipment we're replacing when the Legend equipment is finally released.

I think you're making it more complicated than it has to be. I suggested in another thread that you just give the player a choice-go to the higher tier or exchange the equipment you have for what's allowed in your tier.

    Spacklero:

Youll be switching out that 4th wedge if you get to legend YJ. You should play with 3 as you want to play legend conditions right?

No, Spack, I won't. I haven't used a fairway club for well over a year. I don't even own one. I have always felt that you get many more shots with an extra wedge. You give up eagle opportunities sometimes but for the most part the i15 3i goes 215+ and is very accurate. I'm sure those Cally would help but the meter's too slow. There are definitely holes where I'm sure it would be convenient to have that fwy club but I'm willing to play smart to avoid headaches there. The 299 yard par 3 at Oakmont with a headwind makes the driver quite capable and any other wind makes the 3i usable. Just think par.

This is definitely not the way the real good players would think but I'm a 66 golfer at any level. This under 62 ave is a farce and is only there because of the way WGT does things. It's OK by me, I'm never going to be a star but I damn sure have one hell of a lot of fun. My fairways in reg, the GIR and distance to hole stats are blah. But I do tell my AS p's to play their game, go for it-I will take any lie. I win more than I lose but still have fun losing. BFD, I say, but that's just me.  :-)

You may be right there.  Giving the player the option would be the fairest route.

I play with 3 wedges and a hybrid YJ, but will meet u on your settings, even though I have to get up for work at midnight CST. Whatever is most convnient for you, SIR!

My DS in the Army a long time ago was just like you, only I wasnt a teenager that he could push around! He told me to step up when I had the balls, much like you did. His black eye lasted longer than my KP!  We used boxing gloves, wonder what he felt like when he was KOed? I know the pushups I did cuz of the smile on my face everytime I saw him, got me in great shape!

    Invite when ready!!!

Be careful what you ask for!  One of the two will whoop you and be very cordial about it.  The other has a certain flavor of reputation here that has most assuredly been earned for a number of reasons.  Not saying which is which though. LOL

Now that's funny!!!  I did the very same thing.  Push-ups for days on end... "Thank you for strengthening my mind and body Drill Sergeant!"  Then low and behold who gets orders for DS 5 years later?!?  LOL   It's a bit different when the DS is my size and has my level of training though.  I wasn't allowed in the "pit" from day one as a DS.... EVER!!!

Thought you might pull something like this. I was warned about it too. You're not available. Been on the WGTLS site every day at 8-9AM and 6-7 PM-no mutt.

    Get this every day.....

You aren't worth even this much effort just to prove a point.
