    DaveStrock:

How about Country Club avatars that could be designed by each CC and gifted or sold at a minimal cost to the members?????????

    Hey Dave

It is a great idea that even a non-creative engineer/programer should notice as a done-deal winner. But they won't. The avatar program could be a cash cow if handled by a sharp designer/fashion type (who, as it would seem, fit right in with the existing crew, right?).But a peek at what is offered in that department now (most looking like Goodwill on the cheap) would offer proof that their eyes are elsewhere. Still Dave, stellar idea.

    ps. I hope to see another of your numbing eagles on 9 at Oakmont during the US Open. I'll never forget that 2  ;-}

I was gonna suggest that str8 guys design the female avatars, and females can design the male avatars...it seems a fair trade off...but that usually means I should just drop the idea...sigh.

ps...it still beats pizza boxes as tee markers (seriously?)

"Dave, do you really think the current crop of programmers can do that without screwing up another 30 things?"

Yes i do,,,i think it would be cool and an easy way to recognize players from all CC's at a glance, also an easy way to remember players from each club......

Don't get me wrong Dave, it is a good idea and I would buy a CN Avatar even though I have never bought an avatar.

But for one I do not believe that WGT programmers would be capable of giving us a customisable avatar without causing more issues. Stability of the program is key, and has suffered as a result of every gimmick they have released.

Add to that that the avatar development has been at a virtual standstill for a number of years, this must be seen as low income return for the time developing them, or we would have seen a French avatar long ago

As I said nice idea but think it has the same chance of taking off as a aircraft made from lead.

    Solarflares:
I'll put my Hubble Space Telescope 3D time-lapse Solarflares shirt on a back-burner then.

Sadly you may have to, but I am sure WGT would probably sell these like hot cakes, well may sell one.

BUT I have heard from the "ideas department" (who have read this suggestion) and they think perhaps the introduction of a telescope could be used to get a glimpse of the greens when the camera angles are screwed up, or even binoculars for the use for long putts (especially popular at St Andrews).

And then we could have 3D golf, wearing silly goggles (WGT branded of course), your ideas have been taken seriously if not deconstructed and are "coming soon".

But of as for an avatar.....too hard basket.

I have made several suggestions in the past concerning avatars ,  Its a great idea to (not look like everyone else )  I don't want to look the same as you LOL

I think they should sell all kinds of stuff for your avatar , Like a mustache , or sunglasses , or a Gold chain , Long hair  ETC. ETC.  The list goes on and on ,

I would like to see my clubs logo on my golf bag  !

Easy Money WGT  , Easy money !
