Nearly slam-dunked the tee shot, only to see it come back to 51 feet.

First putt was well short and came back to 49-feet, leaving this easy par putt:

That was brutal. Anyone who finishes all 4 rounds deserves a prize.

    Jerm65:
#13 is another killer.  I finally holed the 52 footer on my 7th attempt for an 8 as opposed to another mercy rule 10.  Putts that travel 105 feet but net out at 1 inch forward are a real pain in darse.

Ditto for me (salvaged a quad on #2 only because nth pitch took pity on me and somehow stopped 2ft above left, but #13's endless net 0 or 1 inch putts got tiresome. I kept dinging the putt perfect distance and made minute adjustments to aim each time but shaved the hole high, low, high, low, etc. etc.). Was -8 on the rest of the holes with no bogeys despite half a dozen missed chances.

Very impressed by the sub-par rounds on the board... and curious to know if anyone managed to do some secret homework on those troublesome holes!

Good Lawd........I'm sure knowing the course and greens come into play, but Good Lawd.

Still love it. Interesting to see.

In the thick of the 2nd round - maxed out the 5th at Merion, which could be expected I guess. Now I've got a streak of 3 birdies going in the middle of the course ....

Round 2 and another tale of 2 9's..41 on the front 9 with a nice 7 putt 9 on hole 6 and that 9 was courtesy of downing a 32 footer otherwise would have maxed out, but then something changed and got a  31 on the back 9 and 4 birdies...

The Ultra speed 40 doesn't seem to react as much on flat lies (not that there are many on Merion) but happy with a 72 on that track and those conditions.

I posted a 10 on 5th, otherwise, decent round. missed 4-5 putts inside 6ft due to being scared...

I was -6 on oakmont, going to 16th and bogey bogey tripple, with 16/17th were very good birdie, just ran by :(

Got out birdie, birdie and approach to 9 ft on 3.. But played for too much break and went down the bottom. Ended up with a triple after leaving it short couple of times more. I was dreading the par 3s quite a bit and proved to be the case. 13 also had a back and forth battle but made a 28ft for bogey. Did manage to play 5&6 only +2 but missed too many birdie chances

    - Lipped out for ace on #2, leaving a tap-in birdie that may have saved several stokes.

    - Pitched in for a 6 on #5, a few strokes after leaving my birdie pitch 2 inches short and seeing it come back off the green.

    - Pulled the tee shot on 13, hit the first putt too hard, then took 6 more putts to make a snowman. Three of the putts went past the hole on the right, and trickled pass the left edge on the way back down the hill.

    - 8 birdies along with a bogey and the two "others" resulted in an even-par 70. Better putting on 13 could have put me in the mid-60's.
