    pdb1:

    TorstenKammerer:
I did not know WGT dose not allow flop shuts on the green, should this info not be made public some where?

Just like in the real game pitching , chipping , flopping , punching on the green is discouraged . As it is very hard to do especially without destroying the green .

Here it can't be done . Except with some practice and technique :

    alosso:
Try the full shot next time (hint: double the distance).

Just to be clear.  All shot types are allowed by WGT on the green, with varying degrees of success.  The flop shot being the least successful.  I just got done testing wedge shots on the green using the play one hole facility.

Here's the results on Standard Greens using my ancient 60yard Ping wedge, full 100% power and a GI2-S ball:

    Shot Rated(yds) On Green(yds)
    Flop 19 1
    Chip 7 4
    Pitch 17 7
    Punch 49 36
    Full 60 31

Note: Changing the spin on wedge shots on the green was disabled by WGT a few years ago.  It is therefore not possible to use topspin or backspin on these shots.

    Thanks andyson and alosso, pdb1

Those Figures are great i will stick to the full shut in the future.

Amazing what 2 inches distance can mean, on the green or on the fringe.

Fringe Shuts work as expected backspin and all.

Funny that the difference in lie is almost imposible to tell visually on some courses like Chambers Bay or St Andrews for example.

So always check the lie indicator, could make a world of difference.

    Happy Hitting Guys

Couldn't agree more...Played it again yesterday and it was back to normal. Today it was back to uneven lies...somebody at WGT is a sadist!

Nothing works in the rough or traps...WGT can do better.

Are you sure you're playing the same tournament?  There's 2 18 hole affairs going on at PB-one of each setup. The WGT Nation tournament is uneven lies. The weekly monthly unlimited isn't.

    Hey Jim,

Thanks! You're right...I was playing both. I'll stick to the weekly unlimited. I can't figure out the uneven lie deal. It's the shots from the rough & traps that go nowhere that make me crazy. The normal set-up for these shots is much more accurate.

This month's (April) latest challenge on Pebble Beach is ridiculous. Tournament 12 with exaggerated slopes, all shots exept of the tee off exaggerated slopes that will fly your ball anywhere but true

Are you aware that this is an Uneven Lie tournament?

Yes thanks YankeeJim, I was aware of it after my first shot landed and took me 2 out of bounds and 9 shots to get into the hole. It wasn't advertised as Uneven Lies but my primary beef is "why add that to Tournament speed 12"  - where as a TourPro I am used to fast greens but not greased lightning. Hope they never have it on that Merion green where you need crampons to get up the slope !!

Te other prblem  that you never discover wind or green speed until after you have entered.
