Oh yes, many, many thoughts for many, many years now. It appears that it will never, never happen.

I wonder if its the cost or is it just a major undertaking that takes a lot of resources.....

EA Sports has Augusta, so go buy the Playstation or X-Box if you're desperate to play such an easy course.,  & don't forget about Doral, Sawgrass., PGA West., Firestone., Sahalee, Carnoustie., Royal Troon., & a host of others ...spend the coin  & enjoy...AL

First of all, it needs the common will of the parties to make the deal.

    Next, contractual issues.

    Then, cost and ressources.

I don't believe that all this does fit anytime soon.

It's the same reason we don't have any more of those UK courses-the stuffed shirts that think their joint is too good to be made into a computer experience.

EASports had a 3 yr licensing agreement with Augusta to have the course on TW PGA Tour.  The proceeds (Augusta charged for the rights) went to the Masters Tournament Foundation a charity to develop the game of golf worldwide.

The amount Augusta charged for the rights is unpublished.  But I'd guess it was pretty steep.

As mentioned TW had Augusta on the 2011 pga Tour as a Exmember of this defunct online game l played Augusta many Times, it was great fun once you got it mapped out, also came with the Augusta 18 par 3, course the one they used for the pro/am Matchplay wich was also a fun course
