I saw where there's a  Course Notebook available as an accessory for 500 credits.  Is it just a blank page for every hole or does it describe the green layout?  Does it have pages for the new Back9 on Pebble Beach?  How much space for writing is allowed on each hole?  More importantly, is it worth it?

(yes)  How much space for writing is allowed on each hole? ( up to 500 characters per page)  More importantly, is it worth it? (depends on how well you remember all the little nuances of each hole, for me its worth it)

Thanks for the response Beryman. Well, I purchased the Course Notebook for 500 credits, can't find it when looking at my equipment.  Do I need to start a golf round to open it up?  I says in the description that I don't need to be playing to view the Notebook.

You will see it when playing. It's located in the top left corner. It can be used for all your notes on fairways and greens.

Well I found the Notebook icon near the top line menu, but it doesn't open unless I'm playing in a round.  As mentioned in my earlier post above, the description of this accessory says that you don't need to be playing, specifically it says .... "and access to your Course Notebook even when not playing a game."  Can't seem to find access when not playing the game?

Does anyone know where the secret button is located, so I can access the Notebook when not playing a game,... as described in the narrative when you purchase the accessory?

Open your Game Client and choose anyone of the game types.  The courses for that game type will come up.  Click on the notebook next to the upper right hand corner of the course you are looking for.
