just played again.....60....my avg went up .1  to 58.84 i guess i havent hit saturation

For Champion tier, saturation is 200 ranked rounds that count for average. By the way, I believe par 3s and par 5s are included in your total ranked rounds played in your stats, but they are not included in average calculation.

What that means is you need to keep track of the rounds you play that count for average. You cannot simply rely on the total in your stats, even though those stats (for you) are only from Champion tier.

ok robert....i understand what your saying.....so i would hit tour champion with 200 counting ranked rounds as champ ?.......i guess we are still not sure if the avg needs to be less than 55 avg......i thought i saw in forum that certain champs yesterday went up a tier even though they had an avg of more than 55.....this is the confusing part

    @ Mickey

As soon as you get saturated as Champ n your average is less than 55, you become TC :)

Exactly. Saturation starts all over unless.....how cool would it be if saturation wasn't a factor in that tier? Now that would be some serious nice.  :-)

    That would be nice.

Of course, I'll never need to worry about it. :-)

Averages start all over!!  One TC managed an average of 180.00................

yes, he went and maxed every hole at Kiawah, lol!

TOUR CHAMPION (criteria)…….I don't believe that an Average of 55.00 or below is what's needed to make Tour Champion.

If you look at the Community Members.....Look at the long list of Tour Champions.  I see many Tour Champions with averages of 56.00, 57.00, 58.00 and above 59.00.

I have a 55.6 Average as a CHAMPION...….and have not been invited to be a Tour Champion.  And, I have hit a TON of Eagles and 16 Double-Eagles....and have reasonably good stats......better stats and more ranked rounds than many of the Tour Champions I saw on the list.  And, I have hit at least 2,000 ranked rounds since I made it to the Champion Tier.

It would be kind of WGT to at least explain to us,....what is the "Criteria" to get an invitation to be a Tour Champion.

Clearly you have not followed many threads.........................

One guy had an average of 180 as TC.  He achieved this by shooting 180 with his first RR as TC.

AS a C you need 55 (seems that way) and enough RRs (reds look fine) and up pops TC. Some other algorithms may also be applied at the discretion of the company, but best not to get anymore excited about that than the badge.

It's just a badge, and can easily be a zero guide to ability.  You get to play off the same tees etc anyway.........................

You might want to inform yourself about average reset and saturation to understand why higher tiers may have a higher average.

    Have fun!
